The Chicken was Beautiful, Sloppy, Falling off the bone, Savory, Deeply colored, Amazing, Perfection!
I rarely travel to the hinterlands of Mordor except for nefarious business. A dark and shadowy Craigslist bargain that forces me to drive out of my comfort zone so far from my humble Shire. So when when the dealing’s done and I start looking for sustenance to lift my spirits for the harrowing journey home (I hate that drive), I really want something at least decent. I happen on Daddy’s Chicken, the reviews are good and it has the benefit of being very close. When I arrive it’s hidden way back in an unlikely hidden parking lot caged in a cyclone fence like a storage lot and honestly my heart sinks a bit.
But let me say that within these foreboding gates lurks culinary wonders! Daddy’s Chicken was drop dead incredible! Succulent, fulfilling, messy, complex, savory… the oily onions , the peppers, the whole thing. Even Daddy himself were all perfect! I had the half chicken and for a mere $13 I was satiated! I was replete! Fortified for the road! Girded for war! Ready to face the world! Already trying to think of some far fetched reasons that might bring me all the way back to this side of the universe!
And beyond even that, there are other food carts within those cyclone confines that I suspect might be equally as deserving of exploration and I can tell you, I can hardly wait!
Thank you Daddy! You, are a God!

This chicken is so BOMB! So delicious, well seasoned and great tasting! Got the “Pollo Ranchero Entero Combo” and loved every bite. Highly recommend if ever close by this neighborhood, you will not be disappointed. Also a word of caution; the green salsa is very mild and the red salsa is absolutely FIRE!

Got the half chicken combo and split with my boyfriend. Food was fresh and delicious and we both left nice and full:) the guys working were very friendly and even offered us samples 🙂 the beans are very hot so be careful not to burn your mouth!

It was pouring rain, but the canopied table area was not leaking and braziers provided heat during the sudden onslaught of May deluge.
Daddy’s Chicken was delicious, flavorful, moist and falling off of the bone. The green salsa tasted fresh from the garden, and the red salsa was spicy and smoky. Accompanied by piping hot tortillas, hot pinto beans and rice, and charred jalapeños that made the whole meal an utterly enjoyable eat-with-your-hands experience that I’ll be going back to for sit-in or take-out.
Go, get some.

10 out of 10 recommend this place, the man running the truck was awesome and had a awesome sense of humor and made the vibe super positive and comfortable. We ordered our food and they had it ready before we even sat down. The food was super fresh and flavorful and the rice and beans were delicious as well, and the portions had our money’s worth. We will definitely come back to eat here when we come back to Oregon, and for the people curious to try this place go for it you will definitely be satisfied with this food truck.

Highly recommend! Ordered two burritos and side of rice and beans. The burritos are massive and very generous portions. The chicken was tasty and juicy. The grilled onions and peppers are just as tasty.
Service was great! Gentlemen taking our order explained menu with great detail and was very helpful. Food came out quickly after ordering and burrito was so HOT! You can tell food is made fresh.
Definitely my go to chicken place now.

I was drawn to this restaurant by its impressive online ratings, but my experience failed to live up to the hype. We ordered the whole chicken for $25, but the quality was subpar. The chicken appeared to be old and reheated, with a microwave-like taste and texture. It was utterly disappointing. Given the price point, I expected a fresh, expertly roasted chicken, but what we got was a waste of money. Needless to say, I won’t be returning.

Stumbled on this place a week or so ago by accident but I am very glad I did. The chicken was really good and I liked the flavor in the green salsa. Personally I found the red salsa too spicy, but I don’t have a high spice tolerance. The red salsa did have this smoky flavor in it that I haven’t had in many places nearby that I did really like.
Their new sign that just went up on highway 8 should hopefully help drive foot traffic more, it’s definitely in a hidden spot.

Wow! This has got to be some of the tastiest chicken I’ve ever had. So flavorful and addictive, you’ll be sucking on the bones to take in every burst of spicy delicousness. We usually get the whole chicken and bring it home and make a nice salad to go with it. They give you, as a side, tons of cooked onions and jalapeño peppers ($24). You can also add a side of yummy rice and beans. There’s enough for 2 people and leftovers to chop up and freeze for a salad later on. Simply delicious!
