At our Centre, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

What’s supposed to be a 3 piece catfish turn out to be 1 and half fish for the same price. They cut the fish in half and charging normal price. COME ON UNDERSTAND THINGS ARE HIGH. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE WHAT I PAID FOR. This is the first store that I’ve noticed to do so. I’m a OTR driver that come to this chain a lot, so noticing it was a no brainer.

We went to the windo. They two that were there were so sweet, helpful and patient with us. The ones that was the there was Chris Hardin and I hate to say, I can’t remember the other person’s name. Anyways we had to go to the bathroom. It was very clean as was the dinning area.

We did go inside to order instead of going through the drive thru.
The outside was not very well lit at 8 pm. The inside was very clean. The staff was very polite and professional.
The fish was cooked crispy but was still a bit greasy. The fries were good. (Not pictured because it was turned upside down in the car) was the okra, very under cooked and the Mac and cheese, worth ordering again.
I gave them four stars, not because the food was really good and it was way over priced for the amount but it was being ran by young people and they had it under control, not complaining and doing a good job.
UPDATE: Ordered tea and cheese sticks at the drive thru. The cheese sticks were hot and cooked to perfection, not greasy at all. Even received extra honey mustard without asking. Fast service and polite customer service.
3rd visit: Ordered at the drive thru.
Chicken Fingers and fish was fried fresh. Both were crispy and fried perfectly. The fries were hot and fresh. Mac and Cheese was was excellent. Received extra honey mustard and tartar sauce without asking. Associate at the window was very polite.
Update:Ordered Cheese, excellent as usual but no honey mustard. The manager Katy, very politely stated, the shipment was not regular on the trucks and they are not regulating how many are being handed out so they run out fast. So if you really want honey mustard ask before you order.

I had an online order 2 things of jalapeño poppers and a sweet tea Which it took almost 30 minutes for me to get it and they give me a Coke instead of a sweet tea. Very bad service wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I always enjoy a piece or two of fish! This Captain D”s hit the spot ! Service was fast and the place was clean! They also have great catfish plates with some healthy vegetables sides and cole slaw with hush-puppies. Sweet tea is always good! Nice to make a stop in to enjoy a good sit-down dinner before turning in from the long road.
