One of our favorite BBQ spots in San Diego! Love the BBQ sandwiches and BBQ plates, the BBQ sauce is our favorite addition. The atmosphere is a nice home style ranch vibe perfect place to get out of the city from time to time. The staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming. We have been coming here for years and will continue. You guys are awesome, thank you for the delicious BBQ!

I am 72 years old and I remember my parents bringing me to this restaurant every Friday evening for dinner. I remember the line would be out of the door but it seemed to always go fast. I moved away from Chula Vista 25 years ago I moved back down here when I retired. I did not think this place would still be open but sure enough there it was. I was so excited to be able to go back to the restaurant not only to share the memories but also to eat the good food. And the food was just as delicious as it was when I was a young child. I go back there whenever I get a chance. They also have bones for your dog. I have a German shepherd, a Belgian malinois and a Great Dane. They are just as happy as I am when I go to this restaurant because they know they are going to get some bones!!!

I never EVER see anyone eat there. This place being open for years has undoubtedly raised some questions on HOW are they still open. I took my family expecting a grand menu based on their “reviews”. Worst tasting ribs. Their barbecue had a run downed cinnamon flavor. It was unpleasant, their salads tasted odd. I’ve had BBQ all over and this place did not come remotely close to our expectations. It was then I understood why it was always empty.

We got the full rack of pork ribs and a side of potato salad. The ribs were meaty, lean, tasty, and fall off the bone tender. The BBQ sauce is very good and takes the ribs to the next level. The potato salad was very good, with a perfect balance of creaminess and vinegar. The staff was very friendly and extremely efficient. They are so organized, even a long line moves very quickly. We were able to choose and place our To Go order, and be out the door in less than 10 minutes.

Best BBQ place in San Diego that is also economical. The beef is tender and the BBQ sauce enhances the meat. Home made mac n cheese is delicious and flavorful. The coleslaw is flavorful and crisp. The customer service is amazing. I definitely reccomend this restaurant.

I love barbecue and I almost consider myself a barbecue aficionado but I think I am fair when I evaluate the food . The ribs were Very tender with a nice smoke ring. However they did not have a lot of flavor like no dry rub or seasoning was applied The chicken was cooked to perfection and tender. The macaroni and cheese was lukewarm. The staff was friendly in accommodating for the most part. I would give this place a second chance if I’m in the area.

We ate here tonight for nostalgic reasons. The meal would’ve been more enjoyable if the person cutting the meat wore gloves!!!!!! GROSS!
