Visited this place yesterday because we were craving sushi, and wow, it was amazing! We ordered the chef’s set (36 pieces), and every single piece was super fresh and flavorful. The fish was incredibly tender, honestly, some of the best sushi we’ve ever had.
We were so impressed that decided to order another set to take away. Even though the bar was already closing, the staff kindly agreed to prepare it for us. While waiting, the chef treated us to complimentary sushi rolls and a slice of chocolate cake. They even added extra sushi to our takeaway box as another gesture from the chef.
We ended up leaving about 30 minutes after their official closing time, and they still stayed with a smile. The service was friendly and polite.
Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch. Definitely recommend this place!

An amazing dinner and friendly staff. Waiter was informed and answered all our questions on menu. He made fabulous suggestion of changing our tuna maki to swordfish as it was freshly caught that day. Appetizers were great, main course of beef dish and an octopus hibachi were also outstanding. All was topped off my an amazing salted caramel brownie dessert. One of the best desserts we’ve had in a long time.
Don’t hesitate to give this place a try.

The sushi is okay and the service is excruciatingly slow. The vibe is really cool and the view is lovely, and there’s just so much potential, but it needs work. We ordered a starter and a few rolls, with the intention of ordering more later, but there was 30 minutes between the arrival of each plate so by the end we just decided to go home a bit hungry instead of stay there all night waiting for more food. The rolls themselves are not the traditional rolls, they’re pretty cool combinations; the octopus and white fish one was my favorite, very flavorful. The quindim dessert was also very tasty, the coconut and pineapple jam was a good combo. The sake was okay and surprisingly came in a teacup.

A stellar 5 star experience from the very beginning. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the hotel. I approached the front desk to ask more about the place and if they could accomodate 3 adults and 2 smalls kids – the receptionists were super friendly and escorted me upstairs to check out the restaurant. The whole place looked very neat and high-end, but I was reassured that the kids are more than welcome here ❤️
We got a bao for one of the kids, some sushi for the other and a 36 pc platter + some maki and a salmon tartar. Everything was super fresh and good tasting, easily one of the best sushi experiences I’ve ever had! Thanks again to the staff

We had a lovely evening here
yesterday! Loved the rooftop setting (part of hotel), some nice views and good food. We tried and can recommend the tender bao (went for crispy shrimp twice) and the fresh sushi.
Our waitress was a delight, welcoming and anticipating our needs. We loved the kimchi on the bao so much, she got us seperate portions! Enjoyed it! Made a great dessert suggestion as well: cake with coconut passionfruit.
Can recommend in Ponta Delgada!

Rooftop Asian-themed restaurant inside the Senhora da Rosa Hotel. Overall we thought the food was quite good and beautiful overlook of the city ! They didn’t have our reservation but might have been a mistake if the hotel and not the restaurant. The miso soup was very unique with mushrooms and white fish. The sashimi was decent. We loved the tempura white fish. Least favorite was the salmon hot roll – not much flavor. Both the desserts we had were great. I would not recommend the Baleia gin that’s from here that they serve by default. One of the worst gins I’ve had (absinthe + sea water flavor) and they charged 15 euros for it. Even the bar tender in the hotel bar said he hates it. Overall it was a lovely meal though !
