So happy to be part of this Yelp Elite event at Fratelli Deli in Apex! This was my first visit, and it definitely won’t be my last.
I absolutely loved the sandwiches.. especially the chicken sandwich and the 3-layer BLT, both packed with flavor and made with so much care. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. The owners were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and passionate, going above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and appreciated.
As someone who eats gluten-free, I was thrilled to see that they offer gluten-free options for all their sandwiches. They were kind enough to bring out a gluten-free chicken sandwich just for me, which was such a thoughtful touch and truly appreciated.
Yelp added to the fun with a cute tote bag, and the evening ended on the perfect note with a delicious cannoli… exactly what you need to finish a great event
I’ll definitely be coming back to Fratelli and bringing my friends along. Huge thank you to Yelp & the amazing Fratelli team for such a wonderful evening. Highly recommend!

PART 2: I have returned for the Chicago Dog and I would like to say I was not disappointed. The bread was soft and the toppings were accurate. Believe it or not you would think that you can’t mess this one up but others have tried and could not achieve the heights of Frattelli’s. I added a side of the tots and I was impressed. I was visualizing pairing the dog with shoe string fries but these tots helped me forget that I wanted those fries. With or without ketchup those tots were worth it.
I have to return to my sisters’s house to ask her which neighbors are the ones that successfully brought a little bit of Chicago to NC. I would love to personally thank them. She kept two things from me that she and my brother in law are on the founders wall at Frattellis and that they have great Chicago food. I think I will venture out from the Chicago food and try the other items because if their Chicago food was this good it’s a great sign that their other menu items have to be equally as good. Oh yeah I’ll probably pick up a Ditka shirt too . Their T shirts are funny and I would definitely advertise for this establishment.

I got a 1/2 Little Italy and pasta salad. The chicken cutlet was way too salty and the bread tasted stale. The Italian pasta salad is delicious tho! Def didn’t remind me of NY, but glad I tried nonetheless!

I ordered online for pick up from Fratelli’s website and it was very convenient to schedule a pick up time. When I arrived, I was very impressed by the case filled with desserts. The interior is very clean and organized.
However, I’m giving this place 3 stars because our order was partially inedible due to all of the cheese sticking to the foiled wrapping paper. I ordered a steak philly as well as a meatball sub and needed to remove all of the cheese on top because the paper was stuck to the sandwiches. I would recommend not topping the sandwiches with the cheese and putting them closer to the inside of the bread or use a different wrapper that doesn’t stick as easily.
Otherwise, the chopped cheese and triple decker that I ordered was very good. In the future, I would avoid those specific sandwiches topped with cheese or dine in to eat them immediately.

I have not yet visited in-person, but have ordered breakfast and dinner about 5 times now. This place is amazing, I HIGHLY recommend. The Bacon and Taylor ham breakfast sandwiches are SO good…makes me wonder where this has been all my life (I was apprehensive at first, but go with SPK too..you won’t regret, it enhances flavors)! The New Yorker and Da Beef are also incredibly tasty. I can’t wait to taste other options. This place is definitely one I will be a continued customer to for as long as they stay open!!! ❤️

A bit of a let down after hearing rave reviews. I ordered the New Yorker and my wife ordered the Italian. Both were average and the bread was hard to bite and chew. The Italian listed several ingredients but fell flat. The pasta salad was dry and tasteless. This was a 1 and done for me.

WOW! So many GF options for every dish, including desserts. Super knowledgable staff and chefs with safe procedures for celiac or gluten allergy. Dedicated GF fryer. Got the jabroni and Reuben, side of tots – absolutely delish. THANK YOU!

Went here for the first time on Friday October 18th for breakfast. My wife took the day off so we decided to go to a new place and we searched and Fratelli’s is what we chose. It was absolutely amazing the Kaiser rolls were just like home in NY and the hungry man is what I chose, my wife got the sausage egg and cheese on a Kaiser and she was in heaven. That night we told our 14 year old son about it he insisted we go Saturday for lunch and again truly amazing meatball parm, Italian cheesesteak, and of course my wife got the same as yesterday my daughter got one of there very fresh muffins. We did not leave without getting a pound of there Italian cookies. Price was great we all left full. It is great to know we have a true Italian place to go even though it’s a 50 minute drive for us, it is more then worth it.. thank you and sorry for the long review but you deserve it again Thank you we will be back!

Found out about a new (Fratelli‘s) deli on the off chance yesterday and went there today. My lunch partner is from New York and said it really was a taste of home. He had the New York hotdog and I had the little Italy Panini (photo)- that is the small size and it was plenty. It was also exquisite. You can taste the love they put into everything and the quality of the mozzarella, prosciutto tomatoes, the dressing, the bread. Everything was spot on. One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a very long time. Prices were good too. The staff were welcoming & friendly. One of the owners, David, was there to answer any questions. It really did have great community spirit.
We took a slice of New York cheesecake home along with a couple of bottles of different sauces. We were a little too late to score any New York potato salad, but there was plenty of other grab and go options too. There’s such a huge range of items on the menu that we’re already planning plenty of repeat trips. It was busy, but we were still able to get a table without issue. I predict this place is going to be packed pretty soon. Glad to find it while it’s still new. Didn’t know how badly we needed this place here- until we did.

Gluten-free dream!!! So very very many delicious gluten free options, including a chicken parm sub (yes, breaded!!) and NY style cheesecake. We love it here and are so thankful to have them nearby. The owners are so lovely and really care about your experience.
