The Oysters were great! So fresh and delicious. We were lucky enough to get there in time to have the grilled oysters. If the grill is behind you won’t be able to order these and they are a must have. If its cold dress warm as you are sitting outside on picnic tables by the water. Limited beverage options so we went with wine.

We love coming here for fresh oysters. You can buy them to go, but we usually enjoy them right there. There are simple wooden tables outside and tables inside, and we almost always choose to sit outdoors — enjoying the fresh air and a bit of sunshine.
Fresh, high-quality oysters, a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere, and a perfect place to slow down and enjoy simple pleasures.

We just had a few dozen oysters and they were pretty good! A little muddy and the batch we had seemed a little salty. Plenty of picnic tables outside and a even a couple that are covered. They have a tasting room on the left and raw oyster counter on the right. Averages about $22 for a dozen, un-shucked. Lots of options for oysters but we went with mostly Kumamoto (of course) and some Belon.

Great food! The weather was great to sit outside and the food was great and fast. Lots of people were there to get oysters to go as well. Good drinks options and a great choice on our way back to Santa Rosa from the coast.

Not in Bodega Bay but really closer to Petaluma. Not even near the water. I was hoping for a View The lady at the counter could hardly care less what I ordered and even at one point said just what’s on the menu! I spent $15 bread!

We stopped at this place on way out of Bodega Bay . The food in Bodega was so great especially the seafood. . So I expected the same from this place but was sadly disappointed ! Being so close to San Francisco I thought it would be great place to get Chiopino . One of my favorite dishes! Unfortunately it was Horrible! So salty it was almost inedible ! The seafood in it didn’t taste fresh . The portion was extremely small . I guess 20.00 for Chiopino is cheap but you get what you pay for . I can assure I wont make that mistake again !

Tomales Bay grows great oysters and not just for Hog Island. This is a great small family business that takes care of their customers. I always buy to shuck myself, and end up with an overgenerous scoop of tasty bivalves, generally at least 50% more than I ordered. So just watch out as I’ve found that while I can shuck and suck a dozen oysters solo no problem, I need assistance with the 19 count Mariner’s dozen that often comes home with me. If you go bigger than the small miyagis for raw eating props to you, I can only hang with the larger sizes when bisqueing it up.

We came on the perfect day to try quite a few of their oyster varieties. The DIY price is great but if you prefer not to have your hand accidentally poked by the shucker, go with the half shelf option, your order will be served up very promptly and oh boy, aren’t they the freshest that can be! It is like a piece of heaven in your mouth.

So glad we stopped! This roadside oyster bar was just what we wanted. Much cheaper than Tomales Bay and the line was WAY SHORTER! We go a sample platter and everything was tasty. I really liked the grilled oysters! They also have a good wine selection. The atmosphere was great and easy to park

We purchased four dozen oysters for New Years Eve. The friendly woman casually mentioned that ‘she had slipped a few more in there’. We were grateful…and then delighted to discover nearly a whole dozen extra once at home! Yet another reason to keep coming here for our large order oyster needs!
