Nice place. Needs more attention to detail. Steak knife is a joke. Cheap and dull. Bread also a joke. Basic baguette?
Steak was good and cooked to order. Brussel sprouts also tasty. Liked the high back booths.

The five of us tried the TK’s for our first time for my son’s birthday! We were greeted by the hostess upon our arrival and our server was exceptional and very attentive. The presentation of our dishes was wonderful and the food was savory!

My sons took me here for mother’s day. Everything was delicious and worth it. The waitress was pleasant and we never ran out of drinks. Remember if you want fastfoods that’s not what it is. The prime rib sandwiches were great
. Didn’t get s chance for the desserts. Which looked good. And the sweet pepper Cole slaw was great.

The place was quiet and peaceful, our food was amazing, 8oz sirloin and 8oz filet followed with Lobster tail. Our steaks were cooked exactly how we asked them to be, and our waitress routinely checked in with us to make sure we weren’t out of drinks. For a first time visit, we were beyond pleased. We were nervous to try a new place to eat, now we believe we’ve found our new favorite date night destination!

When you first walk into the establishment you are greeted by a bright eyed, kind hostess. They were very busy so l recommend you make a reservation like we did. I would say that the atmosphere was very inviting and the seats comfortable.
Although I didn’t like the music selection (jazz) but it’s a personal preference. For our appetizer we had the fried alligator, and can I just say wow it was sooo good. Later on our lovely waitress Jaden brought us some bread and butter, the bread was very tasty although because it was not hot bread the butter could not melt, but I digress it’s another personal preference. When we received our salads we were satisfied. The house dressing was very good. I had the 16 ounce ribeye with a loaded baked potato and steak fries, I can say that all of it was exceptional. My Friend had the TK prime sandwich and it was the best sandwich I’ve ever tasted. I wish I had ordered it but then I wouldn’t have had that awesome steak! Unfortunately we didn’t order dessert but they have a great selection. Also they have coat holders in front of the bathrooms which I think is a nice touch. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant, the money we spent was well worth it!!!

Eh
Service was great! Restaurant looks lovely. It’s fancy enough for a nice date night out, but also didn’t feel super uncomfortable to bring the kids to either. The food was decent but not much to the servings and a little bland on seasonings.

The potato skins appetizer was pretty good, but way more of the fries than cheese and bacon, they also come with green onions on top and sour creamon the side. I asked for Cesar dressing and just got a ceaser salad instead of a side salad. (My pic includes the tomatoes from my psrtner’s garden side salad.)

The Lobster ravioli was delicious inside, but the sauce was really bland and the giant shrimp had almost no flavor. Fried fish was super good.

The kids hamburger is a smash burger so it’s super thin and crispy. Unfortunately my kid did not like it. And the chicken is 2 large chicken tenders. They tasted pretty good and the steak fries were tender inside, crispy outside and seasoned really well.

The service was pretty quick on refills and very friendly, answering questions and being helpful. The food did take a long time to come out though and the kids were very impatient waiting for their meal since they didn’t get a salad, so just FYI if you have kids who get hangry, you might want to get carryout or go somewhere else.

This was our second attempt to like this restaurant. It did not meet our expectation. The portobello mushrooms over cooked. The Caesar salad that boasted house made croutons were stale. The meat of the prime rib sandwich over cooked and dry. There were very few items to select that were even made in house.

TLDR: Pricey for what it is. The steak is in no way prime quality. Mediocre food overall, but excellent desserts. Go to Maxwell’s instead.

MENU: Sandwiches and fried food. Not much in the way of steak, considering the joint is branded as a steakhouse. The menu on their website is outdated – they only have one menu, instead of separate offerings for lunch and dinner, and some dishes, like the fried alligator, are no longer available. We spent about $110 for two people.

FOOD QUALITY: Average to below average, comparing apples to apples in the area. The ribeye steak was tough, bland, and full of connective tissue; and the ribeye cap (the tender/flavorful ring that encircles the main muscle in the center) was thin to non-existent. You can get a better quality steak at a lower price at the Hy-Vee. (My point being, given that this place is a steakhouse, I would expect cuts of meat superior to the everyday choice grade available at every grocery store.) The catfish was decent, and probably the same thing they offer at Maxwell’s, (except that at Maxwell’s you can have it as a sandwich if you want.) Evidently, some of the menu items are factory made.

MENU FAVORITES: I’ve only eaten here once, and the desserts were by far the highlight. The chocolate cake is a large serving; very moist and chocolatey. At the time I went they had a seasonal winter spice Swiss roll with pumpkin pie filling flavored cream – one of the best desserts I’ve eaten lately; and you get two big slices.

MENU FAILS: Let’s talk about the so-called potato chips… More like hashbrowns. Factory made frozen stuff, and SOPPING with oil. And they don’t even come with a condiment. You get a lot of them, though; which in my case meant that the garbage can filled up a little faster that usual.

FRONT OF HOUSE SERVICE: I have only gotten food to go. The server I spoke with was friendly and helpful.

KITCHEN SERVICE: N/A.

COMPETITION: Pass on this one and go to Maxwell’s, unless you just want to swing by for a sweet treat.

ATMOSPHERE: The interior is crisp and well decorated. A tad formal, without being stuffy or off-putting. The place is kinda small, but the bar seems cool. Not much parking, so if they’re busy (not to imply that ever happens; I went on a Saturday around lunch time and there was only one table seated) maybe think through your parking plans in advance.

We were there for lunch on a Saturday. It was not busy at all. The inside is very chilly. Service was great! Always had drinks, very attentive to our needs. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and has a lovely but demure atmosphere.

The food was 50/50. Filet mignon was not worth $47 MKT. The sirloin was fine, nothing to write home about. House salad was fine, ranch was from a bottle, croutons were incredibly tasty. The French onion soup was DEVINE. The mahi mahi was spicy, but good. The Parmesan crab dip was AMAZING, the chips that came with it were meh. Would have liked crackers or bread. We did get a plate of bread and butter for the table. The alligator appetizer was delicious and the breading on the alligator was best I’ve had on any fried appetizer, along with accompanying sauce. Coffee was tasty. Steak fries were HOT, and well seasoned. Kid’s Chicken nuggets were good also, we got 4 animal shaped nuggets with lots of fries.

I was worried I was dressed appropriately but in khaki shorts, white Banana Republic shirt and sandals I was fine. We did not purchase any alcohol. We won’t go back but we very much enjoyed the experience, just not all the food. (Pictured is French onion soup and Mahi Mahi).

We called to make a reservation for 4 pm and we’re told that the closest thing they had to that was 3:30, so we took it. When we got there we were informed that they were still only on the lunch menu until 4 (which we didn’t know)

The server was great and very helpful, the food was delicious and the dessert was also great. The prices were not terrible considering the quality of the product. Overall VERY SATISFIED and will definitely be returning to try something else!
