If you’re looking for home cooked meals, Biancke’s is a must eat! The dining area is much larger than it looks from the outside. It’s extremely nostalgic and clean. It’s not a new building so don’t expect it. We stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 10am. There was no wait and our server immediately greeted us after we chose a table. The breakfast menu is not huge but definitely covers the basic home cooked meals. Eggs, bacon, country ham, omelets, French toast, pancakes, hash browns, home fries, biscuits & gravy and toast are available. We chose the 3 French toast & eggs along with the big boy breakfast. Everything was excellent! The food was served hot and relatively quick.
We look forward to returning to try the dinner menu. The pies are available by the slice or whole pie. We decided to get a slice of coconut and chocolate to go. Both were good not great. We will be back!

We drove two hours just to eat here and were really hoping to love it. Unfortunately that was not the case. It’s a large restaurant with various rooms for seating and you seat yourself. There were only a couple diners inside but we were overlooked and not served for a while. Our waitress was nice and fairly attentive. The color scheme and decor inside made it very dark and dreary. The menus could use a makeover and good cleaning (as mine had hair in it).

We ordered the chicken nachos as an appetizer. An employee (not our waitress) brought it to the table with 3 small plates. The top plate had grease/food smeared across it. I told the employee and she stated she stuck her hand in our food (then proceeded to wipe her hand down he clothes) and stated it was probably from the chicken on our plate. The chips were completely stale, the chicken tasted like it had been reheated, and there were next to no toppings on the chips.

We ordered the catfish platter since they self proclaim it to be award winning, country fried chicken, onion rings, fries, sweet potato fries, hash-brown casserole, and tossed salad. The catfish was a good portion but under seasoned. The country fried chicken was ok, but it was slightly overcooked and really thick. The white gravy was ok. The fries and hash-brown casserole were also under seasoned and the sweet potato fries were overcooked. The onion rings were “run of the mill.” The tossed salad had huge slices of tomatoes and the lettuce core so we had to pick through it. The hushpuppies were dense and the tartar sauce was heavy on the pickle juice.

Despite the disappointing meal, we still decided to order one slice of chocolate pie. The meringue really was “sky high” and tasted pretty good. The chocolate was heavy on the coco and a bit gritty.

I’m glad we got to check this restaurant off of our list, however we do not recommend it.

Only two servers and they rocked a full house. The food was so good and the fried green tomatoes were spectacular. That horseradish dipping sauce was really good. Potato casserole very very good homemade tasting. Sorry I didn’t take photos. We were so hot and tired. The burger with green tomatoes was so good , perfect flavor on the burger.

It was my husband’s and my first time there. We went for dinner. The service was outstanding Kennedy did an awesome job
There was so much food I couldn’t eat it all. The only thing I was not thrilled about was the pepper on my food. It was a lot of pepper. I don’t eat pepper very much. The food was still good and we will go back.

My husband and I went to Cynthiana for a day trip and decided to eat here because of the positive online reviews. As soon as we sat down, we knew we’d made a mistake. Our waitress immediately went to the kitchen and had a screaming match with what sounded like several other people. They were screaming and cussing behind a flimsy door located directly behind our table. We sat and sat and sat. No one ever came to take our order until I flagged someone down and that individual offered no apology, just a “let me find your server.” We sat several more minutes and FINALLY had our order taken. The restaurant was NOT busy and we saw several workers meandering around and even chatting with each other. We ordered simple sandwiches for lunch, nothing difficult. Upon exit, the couple in front of us stated the service was bad, which we agreed as well to the individual checking us out, and she just laughed. Don’t waste your time. Terrible atmosphere and very rude people. We spent over $30 on two mediocre sandwiches and an unprofessional experience.

The pie and mains were great, sides were ok. We got butterscotch pie, smothered chicken with a salad and hash brown casserole, and pork tenderloin with coleslaw and hash brown casserole. The portions were big and we both only ordered half portions. Prices were great and the staff was very friendly!

Went in for breakfast/brunch, there were some classic breakfast items available, but I went for a burger. All the food my party and I got was simple but excellent. The service was attentive polite, didn’t seem overly anxious, seemed welcoming, and unobtrusive. The restaurant was clean, reasonably quiet, and a good climate control.

Found this place on a impromptu drive from Walton Ky and defiantly worth it the stop. Portions are huge! Fried pickles are AMAZING!!! Open face Roast beef and hot brown were great. Hot brown is served large or small. I got a small. Will definitely be back!
