We were informed today that waffle house decided to change their waffle makers. They did away with the thin waffles and moved to the thicker belgium waffle style. Gotta love it when a company fixes a non issue. Our waitress made us a second waffle even after we asked for well done the first time which she did cook them well done but they were gummy on the inside and raw batter. She brought one that she cooked even longer and it was the same result. It gets burned on the outside but do to the style of waffle you cannot get a cooked inside in such a quick amount of time like they are trying to do. Its crazy that a place called waffle house makes a disgusting waffle. I refuse to come back if this is going to be the “new” waffles. Everything else was the same, just a dirty waffle house per the usual. Our waitress was good though.

Food tastes better when it’s served in a good environment. Tonight I ordered the $5 waffle, eggs, and orange juice special, and they were probably the best waffle, eggs, and orange juice I’ve had for $5 thanks to Mrs. Kathy. She was a breath of fresh air on a dark, chilly Saturday night in the heart of Auburn. Love radiates from that woman. We chatted it up for quite a long time, and you could tell how much she cares about those around her.
On top of that, the eggs were scrambled to perfection, the waffle was delicious, and the juice was poured perfectly, with just enough of that foamy head you expect from a tap.

Just picked up a takeout order for what was supposed to be a double order of hash browns with onions, cheese, jalapeños, and chili. Instead I got this sad pile of soggy potatoes with a kraft single and a few canned jalapeños thrown on it. Was charged for the other two additions and wasn’t compensated or even told if they were out of them. Been going her since I was a kid but I guarantee this is the last time I order from this location.
