We had just come from visiting New York and had Joe’s pizza, so we were in for a comparison and this place did not disappoint! The pizza was so delicious with that nice crunchy crust! Floppy triangle end with all the toppings. They hit it out of the park here. It was quite busy when we were there but had hardly any wait. The staff here were so sweet and quick! Would absolutely make this a must stop going forward! Appreciate you all!

We came from Buffalo first time and we had high hopes for the Pizza up here (we’re known for our pizza!!!) and MAN were we HAPPY with our first choice!! We sat down and got some slices, loved it so much we kept going back for more! THEN- we loved it so much we got a whole pizza for our last dinner. (4 times in 2 days to be exact) The employees were so friendly, one even gave us stickers because we were SO pumped to find good pizza (my husband proposed with one so if anyone knows good pizza IT’S US!) we even got a hoodie and a couple pins as well as a dozen sides of the bleu cheese bc it reminds us of rooties back home (best blue cheese ever) all in all, the Halloween atmosphere, food, and people sold us for life. Best pizza in Salem we would say!! You will not regret your choice at Essex Pizza, our only regret is that we cannot bring endless slices home. Thank you for the welcoming experience we will be dreaming of your pizza until we can meet again, Go Bills!!!!

Pizza was amazing and so was the service! We got a margarita pizza and a cheese, both were absolutely delicious. The crust was perfect, the dough tasted as if it came out of an oven ran by angels, the tomatoes were so fresh, and the cheese was perfectly chewy. Additionally, the staff was very accommodating with my dairy allergy (the margarita pizza uses buffalo mozzarella, so I was able to eat it), and they even googled the ingredients to make sure it was fine for me!
Absolute 5 stars, we just moved to the area, and will be coming back so many more times!

This place has amazing pizza! My mom and I were in Marblehead and Salem for the Halloween festivities, And we were looking for something small for lunch. The man that was seating people at the Restaurant near there actually recommended them because we were just looking for like a simple slice instead of a whole big mea, and I’m so glad that he did! They have some of the most amazing pizza crust That I’ve ever had, the girls that worked there were super friendly and helpful, and the little place just kind of looks like it’s stepping back into the 90’s…. But in the best way possible. I found myself talking about their pizza several times since our visit. It is definitely going to be a stop that we make every time we are in Salem!

Last night we got a chicken parm calzone and some garlic bread through door dash. The calzone was absolutely amazing. The crust was light but with a crisp outer layer. The chicken was fried well and the chunks were just the right size. The marinara was the show stopper though. It was sweet and chunky with a hint of basil. The garlic bread was subpar but it didn’t matter when you dipped it in the marinara. Our first bite in Salem and it was absolutely amazing. It is on the pricey side. We small calzone was big enough to split so it worked out well.

The place was packed after I ordered, so I arrived at the perfect time. The pizza was well cooked and the chicken tenders tasted fresh and awesome and the wait time for the food was reasonable and on point. People are very friendly and polite. Went during Halloween so expect wait times and long lines but they usually moved very fast by my experience. Enjoyed every bit of it.

Cool shop in a really cool area. The pizza was 2 star at best. Got a large with multiple toppings and a small cheese…they were both chewy and lacked any flavor other than the bitterness of the sauce. Spent alot of money and was really hoping for something good.
