Invited a large group of customers to have a nice dinner in a private setting. Ordered many different cocktails and everyone was pretty happy. I ordered some kind of steak (hanger?)with creamed spinach – steak was still undercooked and underwhelming overall. Loved the fact that we had nice conversations. Dessert-creme brûlée.

Nice relaxing environment, not overly lit. There was a nice variety of drinks and food on the menu. Super friendly and attentive staff with timely service. Food came out hot and was delicious.
One neat fact; is that they open up some glass walls when the weather is nice to give that outdoor dining feel and some fresh air! Will definitely be going back.

Our dining experiences at Native have consistently been exceptional. The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a diverse range of options that cater to all preferences. Every dish I’ve tried has been flavorful, made with high-quality ingredients, and served in well-balanced portions.

The service is equally impressive. The staff, including both servers and bartenders, are attentive, personable, and professional. I’ve particularly appreciated the engaging conversations with the bartenders while enjoying their expertly crafted cocktails and beverages. Their warmth and skill significantly enhance the overall dining experience.

The ambiance of the restaurant is both comfortable and contemporary, making it suitable for a variety of guests—from families with children to couples on a romantic evening out. The space is always clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully organized, reflecting the high standards of a professional establishment.

Native continues to be a favorite, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a well-rounded and enjoyable dining experience.

Really neat location, I liked the big windows which gave a nice food. Got bread, wife got burger and i got steak. Burger i read mixed reviews but was really good (I snuck a bit of burger and fries). I liked steak but im not that much of a steak person anymore and would have liked the fries instead of potatoes to get that salty bite. Would recommend and would go back should have gotten the salmon 🙁

Been here a couple times happy with everything except for the mice we watched run across the dining room directly into the kitched at ~8pm on a Saturday night. Left a note on the feedback card in person but felt this review was important and will delete/update upon Native proving they have attempted to resolve this issue.

Went here for lunch and was pretty impressed with the ambiance of the place. Super great for meetings, to get together with friends, or anything else. Food was good but I’m not sure dinner there is worth the price. Lunch was affordable, fast service, and quite good. I got the Reuben but wouldn’t get it again, the pizzas and burgers look great, though!

We stopped in for a late lunch. Great location. There is a parking garage next door with a bridge connecting to the restaurant. They offer a discount rate if you make a reservation through the restaurant web site.
The restaurant is a very nice space. Good size bar, plenty of windows, nice big booths.
Service was good. Food was good.
Located next door to MLK park.
Worth a visit.

I came to this restaurant with my two young sons because this restaurant is very close to the strong museum of play so it seemed like a perfect spot to go for lunch. As I did not want to eat the cafeteria food at the museum.

When we arrived, we all enjoyed the ambience and the servers were really quite lovely. We were seated right away.

Once we were seated, I asked for the children’s menus only to find out that there aren’t any. I thought this was a little bit odd considering this restaurant is right by a children’s museum.

I ordered the lettuce wraps and substituted mushrooms instead of the shrimp. Unfortunately, I cannot have dairy so I had to get rid of the sauce that normally comes with it. I asked if there were an alternative to the sauce and the only suggestion I was given was soy sauce. I do appreciate the suggestion however I definitely think it was the wrong one. A salsa or something less intense than soy sauce would’ve made a lot more sense. I would say the lettuce wraps were only OK and not overly filling.

My son’s split a pizza. Luckily kids are easy to please and they were quite happy. However, if it were me eating the pizza, I would’ve not really enjoyed that Pizza. It seemed to be quite doughy.

I cannot say enough about the servers. They were completely lovely. And again the ambience is great. I just think the menu could be a little bit better and adding some selections for children would make a lot of sense given the location.

If I could give the service 0 stars. I would. I have never had such a poor experience with a waitress. We arrived to Native at 7:00pm for our 7:15pm reservation. The hostess was incredibly unfriendly and not welcoming. We sat at the bar while we waited for our table. The bartenders were great, very attentive and the drinks were good. We sat down and our waitress did not come to our table for 15 minutes… and that’s a generous statement. When she finally came over, she was also unfriendly. We ordered the Burrata and Seafood dip as an appetizer. The apps took 45 minutes to come out and they were cold and quite frankly disgusting, the presentation was awful (pictures for reference). The entire time we waited for our appetizers, our waitress did not check on us once or come over to apologize for the wait. It is important to note, the restaurant was not busy. We were finally able to order our entrees and we waited another 45 minutes for our food to come out. The entrees were cold and the food was inedible. We ordered Confit Chicken that was over cooked and crunchy. A midtown burger that was clearly a frozen burger. And the Short Rib Ragu which was so unappetizing. Our bill was $145 for disgusting food and the worst service I’ve ever received at a restaurant. I will never be back and I will be sure to tell others about this experience. Incredibly disappointing and disgusting. 0/5 stars.
