Definitely one to give a miss. We tried this place for lunch about 6 months ago, it wasn’t great but was ok, so thought we would give it another try for breakfast, but will not be going back. Service was ok, the food was simply not. The full breakfast was missing tattie scone, hash brown and the best part was the beans. The other elements on the plate were an under cooked poached egg which only tasted of lemon, mushy haggis , oil soaked slice of black pudding, one mushroom that was actually full of oil, I emptied a good tablespoons of oil in a saucer, blackened bacon which obviously cooked in a dirty pan, vine tomatoes which were cooked in a lot of oil, 2 very small pieces of toast. I mopped up the oil on the plate with a napkin. I was very hungry so ate the beans and toast. When the waitress came to clear the plates, I did mention how bad it was, she did remove it from the bill, but it was not a good experience and will never go back.

Very disappointed after visiting here. Ordered Venison pie. The pie itself was okay however a little dry inside. Although, it was packed with meat which was quite tender. However, the accompanying veg was shocking. It had all quite clearly been microwaved and had dried out. The mash was almost inedible it was that dry and starchy. Asked for a little bit of gravy to moisten everything up a little in order to be able to swallow it. I was brought out a small jug of hot water with gravy granules mixed into it all of which had not fully dissolved. I was charged an extra £3 for the pleasure.
We would definitely not return.

Really pleasant and accommodating, booked late in the evening with short notice but staff had a lovely window table ready with a blanket and water bowl for the dog. Delicious seafood platter and burger, pleasant service and good atmosphere. Thank you

We were advised to try Foxtons by the owners of the guesthouse we were staying in and really enjoyed our visit.
We had two starters, the pate and the black pudding with poached egg. Fabulous portions and delightfully presented.
Our mains were Fillet Steak and the Traitors burger, and once again, both were well cooked and presented. The portions were more than enough, and the member of staff who attended to us was pleasant, friendly, and attentive.
Lovely little spot!

Good quality food at reasonable prices. Large seating area, so booking may not be necessary. Varied menu.

Its ok sums it up. Service is indifferent. Atmosphere is dry and a bit dead feeling. Food is VERY bland. The broccoli soup was fine but lacked any seasoning or coziness I expect in a winter soup. Baked Pollock was very overcooked. Taste a bit like frozen fish meals from the freezer. Banana Dessert was VERY good, although they didnt caramelize the bananas like they advertised.

Popped into Foxtons as we were passing through Berwick on a long journey back South from Scotland. Very lucky to find this wonderful place for a hearty breakfast and the best coffee. We both had the vegetarian full English breakfast. Delicious veggie sausages, black pudding, fakey bacon, hash browns, mushrooms, toms – the works. The service was super friendly and quick.

Lovely place. Been here twice and it’s great for dietary requirements. The food is delicious. The outside seating is in the sun over lunch. What more could you want.
The vegan burger was better than McDonald’s mcplant according to my son and that has to be the highest praise from a teenager. He loved the burger. It actually nearly beat him and that’s also I heard of as he is always hungry. Definitely want to come back.

If you’re visiting Berwick-upon-Tweed, I highly recommend a stop at Foxtons Wine Bar and Grill. The food was truly delightful, and the atmosphere was welcoming.
I opted for the famous “Traitor Gate” burger, and it was exceptional. The combination of quality beef patties invaded by Scottish haggis, served with excellent fries and a rich peppercorn sauce, was incredibly satisfying. It’s a genius take on a classic and a great nod to the border location!
Everything was cooked perfectly, and the portion was generous. A top-tier experience—I would absolutely recommend this dish and the restaurant overall.

Was looking forward to the meal but it was the blandest steak I’ve ever had. The sauce was not Diane, watery gruel more like and I paid extra. Mash was cheap microwaved stuff with hard bits. Daughter had pasta, again seemed like watery canned rubbish. Service and puddings were good. Do not order steak – if you want to waste £35 just set your money on fire instead, it all feels like Wetherspoons but for twice the price.
