We were visiting family in the area, and it happened to be someone’s birthday. It’s a family tradition to get Hibachi during special occasions, and our usual spot in the area didn’t have any reservations available… so we made a reservation at Kobe.

The atmosphere here is very casual. It’s definitely not a fancy Hibachi Steakhouse… more of a casual Asian restaurant. Service was hit or miss. Our chef was a funny guy but the waitresses were very busy in gossip and it was hard to flag them down. Everyone was pretty polite, though.

The food was good but not great. The soup was bland, but the salad was typical delicious Hibachi salad. The entrees were good but the proteins were a bit overdone and the noodles were slick with grease. Everything could have used more seasoning as well. The ice cream they gave us was a tiny portion and freezer-burnt as well.

Considering I don’t live in the area, I don’t think I’d be back. Next time when I’m visiting family, I will try our typical spot for reservations. Not a terrible place but not worth the price.

Went to Kobe to try it for the first time. Lived around the area so wanted to try it at least once. It looked super empty and kinda gave me a bad feeling. The food was great we did all you can eat. Sushi was great. The service was absolute GARBAGE. I CAN SEE WHY PEOPLE DONT COME HERE. The server was rude and rushed us to get something to drink. After we finished a first round of sushi he came back saying “Are you getting more sushi or not” and I said “yes, just finishing up my edemame”. He leaves and came back after a minute and said “ready?” And snatched our paper as we were trying to hand it to him. At the end of it all we didn’t receive refills on our drinks. We got our check and were charged a 18% service charge. I was confused. I can understand if for a part of 6 or more but it was only 2 of us. I asked hime and said “we do it to everyone not just you” and I said “okay I don’t care if you do it to everyone you didn’t let me know” and said “It was on the menu” and I said “it’s not written on the all you can eat menu” and he then pulls out the regular menu and shows me at the end of it written in small text. Let me remind you its my first time and I never got to see the menu. They didn’t let me take it off and just talked to the rest of his coworkers giggling. I will never return here because of this. All of them are on there phones not paying attention to anyone. That 18% was not deserved.

AYCE sushi with the option of hibachi too.
Fish quality was good and service was excellent.
Definitely will be heading back soon?

I recently visited Kobe Japanese Steakhouse and had a good overall experience, even if it didn’t completely amaze me. I ordered the Spider Roll, and as someone who loves an exotic and filling sushi choice, it definitely met my expectations and I would recommend it. The rest of my table enjoyed their hibachi meals and chicken fried rice, but the proteins—especially the shrimp—were overcooked and a bit tough, which was a downside.

Service was just okay; our table wasn’t checked on as often as I hoped, but the restaurant was very busy and the staff was polite and clearly trying their best. The atmosphere was average—nothing fancy, but comfortable enough.

Overall, it was a solid visit, and I’d return again to try more menu items.

Food was great, the only thing I think it would help to give this place a five star all around if the hibachi chef did make a show. Very simple on that part which is one of the reasons why you do a hibachi table. But other than that everything else was great!

Been here a handful of times. Usually good and consistent. All you can eat sushi on weekday, no issue. Chose to go for hibachi for NYE, was given 7pm reservations, called the day before.
We walked in it was very busy.. possible, to be expected.
The wait and food was sometime after our reservation. People said they waited around 40 min for food pick up as we were trying to check in with wait staff. People were glad for the service and food. They were short handed. So they did their best in a busy night. I would only suggest, if they could have it more orderly, take in reservations coming in, and prep more staff on busy days.

One of the decent sushi places in the area. Weekends can get crowded with long wait times for both hibachi and AYCE sushi. Highly recommend going there early!

Staff is friendly. Lots of parking. Fresh sushi.

Would be 5 stars on it’s own but I compare any Japanese steakhouse to rok bonki. Food and service were great. Grills are a bit small so food has to be cooked separately. Veggies came last. Fried rice was an upcharge and no ice cream for dessert. Chefs were skilled and friendly. Will go back again!

This was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had at a restaurant! We arrived ten minutes early for a 7 PM reservation for 6. We were seated at the same time as another group at the same table. That side of the table received their drinks, salads, soup, and ordered their food while we sat… no one acknowledged us. The server serving that group looked at us each time he came to the table and stood behind us glancing around the dining room while we sat patiently waiting. After 20 minutes, we notified staff that no one had helped us. They apologized and said they’d get someone… after
30 minutes we got up and decided to leave. No one ever came to take our order- drinks or food. When we asked to speak with a manager, we were told he was too busy to speak with us. When I asked who should have been our server, we were told it was the same server bringing food and drinks to the other side of our table. I’ve never experienced such awful service in my life. JuRin is 20ish minutes down the road. I’d recommend you go there. The service is better, the food is better, and I guarantee you’d be treated like a valued customer. If I could give zero stars, I would. We will never be back.
