Cute place for group or couple’s date night. Dinner is served tapas style. Items come out pretty fast, as they are ready. You could opted to have the server service them “course” style, which we did, but it still comes out a bit too fast for us, as the table was getting over filled and running out of table space. Would recommend, but next time, we’ll order only a couple dishes as we go and opt to maybe add more if needed, instead of placing all the dishes order all at once.

I don’t know why Lucca doesn’t have 5 stars! This is definitely some of the best food and drinks I’ve had in the area. They recommend family style, which I love, but you can order your own meals as well. Cocktails are great and it’s really cute inside!

Lucca is one of our favorite restaurants in town. Great for a date night. Cozy and warm atmosphere. Food is consistently delicious. The rotating seasonal menu keeps flavors new and intriguing. Great focaccia bread, great mixed drinks. Give it a try!

First time trying this restaurant for Valentines weekend. We had an okay experience. Unfortunately, the place was uncomfortably warm and I waited a few mins to get settled in before bringing it up to our server’s attention. She was great and informed us that there is a boiler beneath warming the entire building. Once I mentioned something, it was remedied and felt cooler which made our dining more pleasant.

Back to the food, by 845pm some of the Vday special was gone which was a little disappointing. We ordered calamari, octopus, parpadelle w/ meatballs and tiramisu. We enjoyed the calamari although increasing the portion to the red sauce wouldn’t hurt. I was excited to see the grilled octopus on the menu. However, it was less grilled/charred/crispier than I’m used to, thought it was boiled. Though tender and not rubbery, there was some slimy layer to it Also, my partner didn’t find the hummus paired with it well. Pasta was a little undercooked than we’d like (Al
Dente) and the meatball was on the saltier side.

The cocktails were enjoyable and we’d come back for the house tiramisu which is the highlight of our dinner

The service was good the ambiance was nice. The food was underwhelming .Left broke and hungry. Our hilight was the fresh mozzarella , the lamb skewers were ok, the clam stew was gritty and underwhelming . We ordered 5 selections, wine, a cocktail and 2 desserts. The dessert was nice.
Just no thrills to report .

We wanted to go to a really nice restaurant to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. On a trip to the Farmer’s Market, I spotted Lucca Taverna and decided to try it. We were not disappointed. Food was imaginative and expertly presented. The theme is small plates to share and the wait staff delivered each new plate exactly on time. We highly recommend this venue for any special occasion dinner, or just a fun night out.

Went in for their 1 year anniversary and sat at the bar. Started with a spectacular mocktail ginger colada. I had the prosciutto toast, it was amazing. Also ate the special butter nut squash agnolotti, it was perfect. Finished with a special dessert of chocolate and cherry semifreddo, I would have ordered another but I was stuffed. I’d definitely go back and want to try more of their house made pasta. Their chef is definitely killing it. Props

This was my first time eating here and to start off, the service was incredible. My waitress was always checking in on us and had a great attitude. We ordered some mocktails and usually whenever I order one from other restaurants they always suck, they just taste like syrup or lemon juice. However, Lucca Taverna actually takes the effort to make high quality mocktails! Their virgin ginger colada was Soo delicious and so was the other drink too, I really appreciated that. Now I’ll tell you that this was hands down the best Italian food I’ve ever had in my whole life! And I’ve been all around the US. You can tell their pasta and sauces are homemade. The beef Bolognese had SOOO much depth of flavor and they’re generous with the beef and pasta portions. We also got the parpadelle and that was really good as well. The special red sauce it comes with was such a unique flavor that I didn’t expect. Overall, 10/10 and I will definitely be back!

Same folks who run Castor, love Castor and love their new Lucca now. I lived in Corvallis a few years, I was always bummed there wasn’t more reliable finer dining downtown. It seemed like a hole in the market. Corvallis has folks from all over the world due to the research University. The town of Corvallis itself can not always speak to offering finer dining for such an international, albeit student/prof, crowd. Corvallis will always need more fine dining options to save a drive to Portland for the foodies, and Lucca is a welcome addition. I scanned the other reviews, I felt the person complaining about the dishes all being a la carte may not get out much beyond eating at a chain restaurant like Spaghetti Factory. Lucca is more boutique Italian, not a chain, expect separate items on the menu accordingly, the same as most similar restaurants. Here’s the food review: delicious drinks, especially the Lemon Drop Spritz, presented very well. The salad was very fresh but the vinegar in the dressing was a touch strong. We ordered the butter nut ravioli, my partner raved about it the whole time he was eating it. The burrata was delicious. The tiramisu was delicious, but more like a tasty French coffee cake torte than actual tiramisu. Delicious all the same. We are accustomed to trying out nice restaurants around Oregon, and if you are like us you will find Lucca to be a delightful & welcome find in Central Oregon. Corvallis, especially downtown, needs more places like Lucca to help drown out the dominance of fried pub food, to be frank. America has enough fat and flour. I’m really rooting for Lucca’s success, I hope they will be there for years to come and we will be eating there for now on when we go through Corvallis.
