Went here not too long ago and forgot to write a review. Came after a swim meet, the food was fresh and tasty. I got the sweet potato roll which was really good. The shrimp and carrots were really good. A bit salty, but the shrimp wasn’t too chewy. Roasted veggies were amazing and had a good sauce. Nothing outstanding, but a solid place.

This was our first time visiting O.E.C. It appears that this is mostly a takeout place, with limited seating to accommodate a handful of folks who would like to dine in. We chose to dine in, and we’re glad we did. We ordered a chicken hibachi dinner, a steak hibachi dinner, and an OEC roll. The perfectly cooked dinners came with a standard side salad (don’t sleep on the ginger dressing) and fried rice. The YumYum sauce is a delicious addition that was brought to the table. The OEC roll had good texture and flavor. Portion sizes were more than fair for the cost, and the vegetables (both in the salad and in the entree) tasted like they had been freshly prepared in house.
I realized after ordering that we had failed to order water… and the server brought water on her own when she brought the salads. I never even had to ask, it was just offered. The same with YumYum sauce when I asked for a to-go container for the portion of my dinner I couldn’t finish: I was brought condiment cups already filled to add to my bag.
I have grown disappointed with eating out over the last few years, either paying too much for low quality service & food, or simply just deciding to eat at home. Even with the dinner rush, OEC was an extremely lovely surprise and we’ve added it to our (short) list of places we’ll happily go back to.

The food can take a while but it’s worth it. Also the hostess is very nice and tries her best to make sure customers are happy. I love the hibachi salmon and the hurricane roll.

I must say that I was very impressed by OEC Japanese Express’s sushi! I like that they are made fresh to go and that you can substitute white rice for brown rice, which is good for those looking for diabetic friendly substitutes.
While I would’ve liked to receive a confirmation after ordering my sushi online, all in all, I love my Bombey and Canadian rolls! You can’t go wrong with simple and delicious sushi served at reasonable prices. 🙂

We have been going here for years and have never once been disappointed. The price is perfect and the food quality is amazing! And if you have trouble deciding on a meat option, try one of the numerous combination plates they offer to mix and match.

Ordering over the phone is the easiest, but they do offer online ordering if you don’t want to wait and order when you get there. Yakimesi (fried rice) is always my go-to with chicken and scallops. The steak is good. I’m not really a fan of the shrimp. They offer a vast variety or Rolls and other traditional dishes. Highly suggested in the Bartlett area.

Coming from St Louis, if you know you know! This place actually has some good fried rice! You know coming from St Louis they have the saint Paul’s and some of the best fried rice in the Midwest, but OEC has some good rice too!

Highly recommend this place! The shrimp tempura roll (right) & crunch crab roll (left) are so good & only $4.99 each. The crab rangoon is also delicious and also only $4.99. I looked over the rest of their menu and all of their prices are so reasonable and the lady at the front was super helpful with recommendations.
I also recommend ordering through their website, versus food delivery apps (they’re killing small restaurants with fees). The only drawback to online ordering is you don’t get an email confirmation of your order which is weird but my order went through anyway.

Love OEC can’t say how many time I eat here a month, sometimes a week lol . I’m vegan and I really enjoy the Vegetable Hibachi dinner with Miso soup ( great probiotic) , great portion size able to feed myself and 2 others sometimes (if I want to share ). I recommend this place to everyone

First and last time going into this restaurant. I had heard positive reviews so my husband and I decided to try this place out. We walked in and there were silence. A guy stood at the side outer counter on his phone and said absolutely nothing to us. No hello, hi, etc. The lady at the front counter never said hello, hi, nothing. My husband spoke first just for her to speak to us in such a dry manner. We immediately turned around and left. No way we were about to spend our money at their business with that type of RUDE behavior-very bad customer service!
