Inspiring awareness and sustainability from seed to cup, we feel that we have an environmental and social responsibility to enact change in the coffee industry. By sourcing exclusively Organic, as well as Fair Trade/Rainforest Certified coffees when possible, we directly support small farming communities and collectives around the globe. We roast all of our own coffee on-site at our cafe in Whitehouse Station, NJ. Striving to represent the third wave, specialty coffee movement we maintain a high level of quality control by serving traditional drinks with no additives/flavors. We also provide our community educational coffee workshops to learn about how we roast and brew coffee high quality coffee.

The espresso in the drinks also came across incredibly sour, even with it being cut with milk. The milk was steamed well and properly textured.
I’m a huge fan of modern espresso/lighter roasts (which was what it looked like in the hopper), but it can only work if it’s done well. I hope I just came in on an off day because this used to be one of my favorite shops in hunterdon county
This cozy coffee house nails it- rich coffee, old school charm, and a space that feels like a timeless novel. The kind of place that makes you forget the rush and just breathe.
The staff always seems to be extremely nice and and hard working doing various things around the shop when I come through.
If you like small craft coffee shops, I highly recommend this establishment.
I’m seeking and reviewing the best authentically local businesses in every geography, for Localverse (from Bethlehem, PA). Now adding Black River Roasters to the list!
The adventure continues visiting and exploring more local shops at every possible place, including any towns in Greenland and Antarctica one day. (and, maybe even frontiers at Mars after people have settled there)

I came here to work for a weekday morning, and the lounge does have some areas with desks/tables to place my laptop, but it’s mostly comfy seating. On a Wednesday morning, I was one of only a few people working, so it worked out just fine.
Highly recommend!
