Great local place, down home, Texas Spots bar. Good food, excellent service. Not fancy, a bit worse for wear, but that’s okay! Chicken Fried Steak rated #1 from Hubby, a very picky CFS critic. Plenty of meat, light crispy crust, good but not overwhelming gravy. Comes with 2 sides. Although salad was all iceberg, it was generous with nice tomatoes, croutons, cucumbers & generous fresh bacon! Thousand Island was tangy, Hubby enjoyed Blue Cheese. We had HH Margaritas. 16oz, $6. Can’t beat it & tasty too. The best were the friendly & attentive servers. They regularly checked in with us. We’ll definitely be back when next in this part of Aransas Pass. Or maybe just a special trip!

This is a small town restaurant with a lot of Texas charm. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable. The food choices are a mix of Texas favorites and a variety of other cuisines like fries with chicken covered with yum yum sauce, which we had to try and loved. The food portions are big and delicious. We had a good time watching the games on their multiple TVs and enjoying the air conditioning on a hot Texas day.. We plan to go back here when taking this route to catch the ferry.

We have been wanting to check this place out for a while now and finally gave it a shot. The service was great with a friendly young lady who was attentive. So the chicken fried steak was good but could have been great had it been tenderized more. A little too chewy for my liking. The breading and gravy was a plus along with the loaded mashed and green beans. Wife had the Texas BLT and did not disappoint as it had a ton of beautiful crispy bacon on it. Gotta mention the un-sweat ice tea…..great flavor and not watered down. Pricing was very fair!

Went with my family for dinner on first night of vacation and loved it. The food was great and served in generous portions. The service was good as well as waitresses were very prompt and responsive to any and all requests. Ordered the buffalo chicken loaded fries, blue Hawaiian drink, and a chicken fried steak. Both were delicious and massive portions. April was fantastic and friendly. Love the Texas atmosphere, we will definitely be back.

Wasn’t very busy on a Tuesday night, but that didn’t stop the bartenders from creating a good atmosphere. Had a fun time hanging out at the bar watching the Astros play. The Philly cheesesteak was good, but the French fries were the star of the show. They were perfectly seasoned. Which is always hard for restaurants to do for some reason as fries are always bland or taste like a salt block, so hats off to this place.
