I went to Fat Larry’s for the first time and definitely will return! We enjoyed the cheese curd and hush puppy baskets for appetizers then we had the loaded fries, loaded nachos, and beef brisket platter. We also had a slice of coconut and strawberry cake. The food was all delicious and served hot! The staff was friendly and very helpful. Thanks Fat Larry’s for a great experience! You are our new go to bbq restaurant!

We were passing through and got lucky and this place popped up on the GPS. The food is excellent. I got a Brisket Sandwich and fries. My wife got the chicken wings with the honey gold sauce on the wings recommended by our server Tasha. The food and the service will have us coming back every time we drive through. Don’t pass this place up! It’s a little off the Highway, about 3 miles, but well worth it.

We found this little gem last year & look forward to coming anytime we’re in Memphis. The food is always delicious, piping hot & cooked to perfection. The staff is Amazing, attentive without being intrusive. I’m sure they have their 10,000 steps for the day in by then end of the lunch shift. Don’t forget to save room for the coconut cake, I promise you won’t be sorry.

I want to start by stating I’ve been eating hear for years when I travel to Memphis. Fat Larry’s has been my goto place for Memphis BBQ. I finally had the opportunity to bring my family. They have heard me foe years raving about the place.
Let’s get to it…
My wife and I both ordered the meal with brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and a 1/4 chicken. Everything but the brisket were great. The brisket was the one thing I bragged about. All four pieces we received had been reheated on a briquett bbq and tasted like Matchlight fluid. All four pieces were like leather and impossible to eat. It was just next level disappointing
I will of course return and give them another chance.
They did remove the charge from my bill.

Had the large sampler plate, and the ratings and reviews are well deserved, it was FANTASTIC. Had the salted caramel cheesecake for dessert and it was ridiculously good. Perfect place for BBQ. If you’re in the area, stop, you won’t regret it.

Been here many times since I first did a review 5 years ago. Very unusual place in that as good as the BBQ pork and ribs are, you can also get great catfish and steaks. I veered from my mainstays to try out the BBQ nachos. Super pleased with taste. There’s a hint of something sweet hiding with the tomatoes, onions bbq and cheese I never did figure out. The catfish poppers were great and we had just enough room for the strawberry cake. Yum.
Been back here many times, never had a bad meal.

Have eaten at Fat Larry’s several times and really do love the fried catfish. But tonight was the first time I’ve eaten a hamburger there. VERY DISAPPOINTED ! Meat was great – ordered medium and got what I ordered which was very delicious. But the sweet bun it was on was a big turn off . Who said a burger was better on a over the top sweet bread that absolutely ruined the flavor ? Only ate 3 bites of it before pushing it aside. I’ll never order it again.

Some of Memphis best bbq right here! You definitely need to try Fat Larry’s. I have tried most of their meats and love the brisket, pulled pork, chicken, and many sides. I highly recommend for any BBQ connoisseur or just trying the top Memphis bbq!

I’ve now been here a number of times and haven’t been let down once. Turkey ribs, prime rib sandwich, barbecue salad, and brisket are all great choices. Such a variety of sides….. lima beans, black eyed peas, spinach, mac and cheese…. all so great!
