Came in on a family adventure. The service was the star and the food was fantastic as well. We ordered a great variety of things and everything was fantastic. A Shrimp po-boy which was loaded with shrimp, fried oysters, a bisque, a half salad with crawfish that was enough to feed at least two people, the fried fish which came with 6 giant filets, the chicken fries which hit the spot with the recommended sweet and sour dipping sauce and plenty of shoestring onion rings and fries for the table.

We thought we knew all the really great restaurants but we have been SLEEPING on Millside in Ponchatoula. My spouse loves hamburger steak but no one really cooks it in a down home comfort food kind of way. UNTIL we found Millside. We actually went twice in one week. The catfish is the BEST I have ever had and even the tartar sauce is delicious. Definitely worth the drive!

ALL of the food that 3 of us ordered was NOT EVEN COOKED THERE!!! Even the roast beef & gravy tasted like it came out of a jar!! Chicken fried steak seemed frozen then heated up there & the mashed potatoes were “instant”…the shrimp, oysters & beautiful soft shell were fried so long that were a bit more than fried…all very dark color… l NOOO idea how this place has a 4.6 rating…those reviews are from folks that must be not be from South Louisiana…took 25 minutes to even get food…& after that miserable meal I had to remind the waitress, Sienna, that she never did bring our salads…my 2nd time there…first was just as terrible…I ordered the bisque…when it arrived it had the consistency of freaking mashed potatoes…told the waitress she could take that right back…I guess that”s why it doesn’t even smell like a seafood restaurant…I am not a “3 strikes and your out” type of woman…I can figure things out quickly…NEVER AGAIN!!!!

This was our first time and Louisiana and this was recommended to us by a couple locals! And let me tell you, this blew all expectations away!! Crayfish was great priced and soo good! I had the crayfish poboy and will 100% recommend it to anyone.
Overall best place in town if you are looking for an amazing crayfish boil!! The owner is so nice and will help you with anything! As an outsider stopping by this restrant is the absolute best place in town! Cannot recommend enough!

We ordered 15 lbs of crawfish to go. As soon as we opened the bag it smelled like sewer. 1/2 of them were rotten, complete mush (even the shell)! I hate giving locally owned restaurants a bad review but I also HATE GETTING RIPPED OFF!!! I want my money back!!!!

I had a craving for fried catfish, and this exceeded my expectations. Absolutely delicious fried catfish – well seasoned, very tender and possibly the best I’ve ever had! The portion size was huge! Fries & salad were good. Service was also amazing! We will definitely be back again!

Nice old side of the road restaurant. Friendly people. The Shrimp salad was GREAT, lots of shrimp, needs MORE seasoning. Was told owners wife thinks everything is too spicy. Feed your customers not your own taste. The gumbo was good. I will return but ask for MORE seasoning.
