Stopped here for breakfast on the way through town. Staff was very friendly and it had a nice hometown cafe feel to it. Ordered the special, which was a Denver Omlette and I was not disappointed. Everything was yummy and fresh. Had plenty to eat too! The restaurant had plenty of seating and the walls were full of historical pictures and artifacts. Definitely enjoyed eating here and would love to come back!

Friendly, fast service. Fun retro fibe. Breakfast all-day was nice. Food was good but pancakes were a little over done and tough but all else was tasty. Bar lounge was attached to restaurant and was a full bar with pool table.

Stopped in Gering on way to Yellowstone. Found this great place on Google Maps. Food looked so good I started eating before I remembered a picture! Home made onion rings…yes please!! Wait staff were polite and not too attentive to be a bother. Be prepared to spend $$, which matches their portions. Would recommend for certain.

My mom and I went to the log cabin restaurant yesterday for lunch, and everything was above and beyond the expected. The atmosphere was very comfortable, our waitress was very amazing and so sweet, the coffee and the food were A+++. I was very impressed. I brought half of my meal home. It was very filling. Thank you for the great experience.

Such a great family restaurant. Everyone there is very friendly and the menu has great “old fashioned” food.

we love this little dinner. Food is always good. My favorite is the the liver and onions. They also have a great meatloaf plate. They offer a small salad /soup bar, which has a decent choice. With the dinners they have the best homemade bread. We come here at least once a month. Really cant go wrong eating here. It is a older restaurant, so its not fancy by any means but the food its Great! My only complaint would be it needs a deep cleaning. (carpet and window coverings) still a 5 star.

Intimate little cafe restaurant. Old school and antique like vibe. Salad bar options with lots of sandwiches and American classic menu options. Parking a little limited but plenty of space inside. Daily specials are a good value.

I love a good meatloaf. Unfortunately, they don’t have that here. The salad bar was a joke. It is literally lettuce, onions, and salad dressing. That’s it nothing else to go with the lettuce. The meatloaf was more chunks of bread than meat. The first bite I knew something was wrong because the texture Was gooey. I broke it apart, and it is chunks of bread with some meat and as if that weren’t bad enough, it wasn’t even cooked all the way through. I travel about 2500 miles a month over Nebraska and Iowa and this is hands-down the worst food I’ve had in all of Nebraska and Iowa. The waitress saw the plate of uneaten food pushed to the side and asked if everything was OK. I commented on the meatloaf, showed her what I meant, the uncooked dish, and she said “oh sorry” and handed me a bill for $22.
