Food and service was good. While we’re eating apparently an argument between staff members erupted in the kitchen. Very loud screaming, cussing and name calling. Lasted a few minutes. One staff member came out slamming doors, went to bathroom and stayed in there quite awhile. Very unprofessional. We did call the police during this event. Of course by the time they arrived, probably 30 plus minutes later, the argument had de-escalated. The officer came in talked to the manager and that was it. Didn’t ask to speak to each individual or even the customers. Very disappointing. The staff members we had encounters with were polite and professional. The other 2 and the manager, Im guessing, we didnt have personal encounters with so I technically can not review them, except for the very loud arguments and unprofessionalism we witnessed. Very dissappointed that we weren’t even apologized to afterwards either.

The crew on 10/7/25 made a fantastic meal! The young lady at the window was courteous and accommodated a last minute change. The food was fresh, not greasy, not overcooked . Best I’ve had at LJS. Only complaint, get rid of the waffle fries and bring back the original!

We’re catholic so this is a must during Lent. And sometimes I just get a hankering for it! Great food, the staff were absolutely awesome and welcoming. But the building is falling apart!! Come on LJS corporate! Step up and fix it. There is a local company that replaced our roof through our insurance, and they also completely redid the outside of the Hooters in topeka last fall. They are top notch! And I’m not just saying that because I used to work there!! Veterans Exteriors of Kansas. Give nick a call today!! They will fix it up make it look brand new. Keep that awesome staff of yours employed. Fix it up… and they will come.

Hadn’t been in a long long time as the last time we went, the floor was extremely slick with grease. I still like the chicken, hush puppies, and cole slaw. Service was pretty good. Atmosphere same.

We got there they had only one fryer working. We went ahead and ordered. Our food was up prior to us even finding a table. The fries were double dipped. The food was extra salty. We will say the gentleman working the fryer did make some fresh fries for us. The staff was above decent and that always says something positive to me.

Good fast service. Food is what you would expect. I know the location is old but it really needs an update. It always just feels like it is not very clean. The bathroom is not good.
