Visiting from Utah and wished we came sooner so we could come back and try more. Server, Amy, and the kitchen staff were incredible working with my gluten-free & vegan diet. Made it so smooth and comfortable and the food was delicious!!! They had live music on a Tuesday night. We felt like we stepped into a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere while traveling for work. Will absolutely come back when I’m in town again.

Let me start with when i booked reservation and they called me in at exactly that time which was nice to see their punctual with time, then our waiter John was amazingly informative and always attentive as he would make his rounds. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! From
The nice soft bread with that sauce which was SO GOOD, to the salad and the actual food was all just really really good, 10/10 definitely coming back some more to try out other plates !

Amazing experience! Definitely recommend stopping by here!

My server, Amy, was absolutely wonderful! She made us feel welcomed, gave great suggestions, and just all around awesome vibes. The place feels intimate without being too dark. Everyone was very friendly and warm.

We tried the bloody mary deviled eggs, which were really good. Personally, I would’ve liked more kick to them. Our server brought us some fioccia bread with a “tomato oil” that was kind of like a cold, thinner, arrabiata sauce. It was delicious!

For entrees, we had the rum brown butter salmon with goat cheese risotto and sprouts and the riggies with sausage. The risotto and sprouts were heavenly! The salmon was very good as well. The riggies were fantastic! The sausage had the perfect amount of kick to it. The cocktails we tried were really interesting and unique, but the apple caramel mule was the overall best one. Hard to beat a classic.

My wife and I enjoyed a terrific birthday dinner at The Cider Mill last night. Such a warm and cozy place on a cold and rainy night! Of course we had to start withe the Brussel sprouts which are always a favorite! After perfect-sized side salads, my wife had the Butternut Sage Alfredo (vegetarian option) and I had the Carved Beef Tenderloin which was a special. All I can say is they were both fantastic and we even had enough for leftovers, which are now calling my name from the fridge!

Unfortunately, I did not catch our waitresses name, but she was awesome. Our meal was perfectly paced and the service was spot-on. We ended the evening with a birthday treat, which was “on the house” and a piece of butter cake to go! A perfect evening all around!

Wonderful seasonal food and drink menu and nightly specials. We had the tuna and stuffed haddock and both were delicious. Staff were friendly and service was great. We can definitely recommend the Cider Mill. If you go on a weekend, make reservations. Additional parking across the street.

Went to dinner there last night just arriving in town. Walked into a beautiful eclectic atmosphere with a great seasonal menu which I am glad we caught the end of the winter cycle. I had sour rotten for dinner, which is an old school classic for me growing up and enjoyed it thoroughly. The music on Tuesdays is phenomenal and my wife and I had a great time.!

The Cider Mill is truly a hidden gem in Syracuse! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, friendly service that makes you feel like a regular—even if it’s your first visit. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and well taken care of, which really sets the tone for a great dining experience.

The food is absolutely phenomenal. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re there for a cozy dinner or a celebratory night out, the menu offers something for everyone—especially if you’re a fan of locally inspired dishes with a gourmet twist. The menu rotates seasonally but a staple dish is the Riggies (I love them with the hot sausage).

The ambiance is equally impressive. It’s charming, cozy, and welcoming, with just the right mix of rustic and elegant. You can tell there’s a lot of care put into every detail, from the lighting to the décor. It’s the kind of place you want to linger in, enjoying good conversation and great food.

Overall, The Cider Mill checks every box—exceptional service, amazing food, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again. A must-visit if you’re in the Syracuse area!

We met some friends here for dinner about three weeks ago, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We were given a warm welcome on a cold January night and had an excellent dinner and drinks in a festive, but not raucous, atmosphere. I use a rollator to get around, and am happy to say that the restaurant, advertised as fully accessible, lived up to its billing (a staff member added an unnecessary but caring touch by accompanying me back to my car on a night when no sane person can have wanted to go outside). And the price for all this was, in 2026 dollars, more than reasonable. We’ll be back!!

Everything about our night at The Cider Mill was incredible! The staff were very friendly, inviting, and attentive. No matter the request or accommodations needed, they will be there to give the best experience for their diners. Amazing food for everyone, including vegetarians. Comfortable and homey feeling but it also provides you with a fancy dinner for even the most special occasions.
