Update: was in recently for the chicken and waffles and the ribs. Run of the mill decent, but food comes quick and the place isn’t too loud so it’s nice to visit with friends.
Old: Pretty good hot chicken sandwich, good bit spicier than I expected. Breading was interesting, a bit more crispy like potato chips than say standard fried chicken so I was a bit on the fence about it. Friends loved the regular sandwich.
There’s indoor and patio seating. Was mostly quiet, some music and golf TV in background but was a nice lunch spot to be able to hear conversation

The Hemlock Bar and Grill at Brookline Country Club is a true hidden gem! The food was outstanding—especially the jerk chicken, which was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat, and the prime rib was absolutely delectable, tender, and full of flavor. The ambiance was elegant yet relaxed, making it perfect for both a casual lunch or a special dinner. The staff were attentive and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back—this place is a must-visit!

I had never eaten at a country club restaurant before but I had a great time. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and pretty affordable.
Because it is a country club that services golfers, the clientele is pretty wealthy. You either meet very friendly guests or those who look down on you and don’t acknowledge your existence. I’ve experienced both. Regardless, the food and service is what I stayed for.

This place is hands down the best fried chicken in the greater Boston area, and it’s not close. They also make a great fish and chips, and an exceptional biscuit. Their green salad is pretty darn solid also. Never had a meal that was less than fantastic here.

Really good! That’s maybe the best chicken sandwich in the city! In addition, the fish sandwich is incredible. All around a great spot, especially in the nicer months when you can sit out on the patio and enjoy the golf. Hidden gem!

Got the cubano and Nashville hot chicken. Both were a miss. Seasoning or sauce on the chicken tasted like cayenne and paprika and the cubano was dryyyy
Service was lackluster, you wander to the front ready to order and rude golfers will walk right past you. Staff didnt seem to care if anyone cut in line. Didn’t seem like there was any type of system.
Not being a golfer, I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

I ordered and picked up catering for an off-site staff party, and everything was nicely labeled, well prepared, and very delicious. Prices were more than reasonable, and the staff was very easy to work with. There’s a nice menu (lunch, dinner, snacks) with plenty of options.
