The Freedom Cafe is hands-down my favorite brunch spot in Franklin County, thanks to the incredibly kind and patient staff (shoutout to Barbie, Jackie, and Chrissy for being so wonderful with my four-year-old!!)
Jason’s homemade cooking truly tastes like it’s fresh from the farm. I find myself literally dreaming about that slow-cooked corned beef hash that melts in your mouth. It is hearty, delicious, and offered at such exceptional prices that I recommend it to everyone I know! Definitely check this place out!! Just wow!!

What a wonderful little spot! The food was good and at a really great price. Sat next to some super friendly folks and enjoyed the ‘small towm American diner’ atmosphere. Orange juice was very fresh. Coffee was hot and rich. Biscuits and gravy were peppery and smooth. Definitely coming back to try more.

Been there only a couple of times since it’s changed ownership. Great that it’s still a diner. The family that owns it are very friendly and customer engaging. Great hearty egg sandwich, unlike their one egg, floppy toast neighbor down the road.

This cafe is great, everyone is so friendly and the place is very clean. The food is top notch and priced reasonably. Now to the best part…the staff and the owners! We’ve had excellent service time and time again from our waitress Jackie! Jackie it is always a sincere pleasure. The owners are great people who give back to the community every chance they get. There is a great thing they do, where if you want to pay for a meal or a coffee for someone who might not be able to afford it you can do so discreetly by telling the wait staff or the owner. Seriously the the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Who’d a thought you can make pancakes taste so good. Also the best biscuits and gravy this side of the Mason Dixon line. Worth the trip and if you have to wait to seat worth the wait! Prices are very reasonable as well. Highly recommend!!!!

The New Freedom Café is owned by the sweetest couple, and you can feel the love they pour into this place. The food is classic, comforting, and delicious plus the corned beef hash is out of this world.
Even during a busy morning rush, the service was warm, quick, and genuinely welcoming. I love seeing great people building something special, and I can’t wait to see what they add to the menu as they grow. This spot has all the makings of a local favorite, and they deserve every bit of support!
