Jerry’s Fish Camp is an unexpected find in the little town of Mena, Arkansas. We were passing through on our way to Shady Lake Campground wishing for something other than the typical fast food offered by most towns. We turned off Hwy 71 where the train depot is located and saw Jerry’s on the left.
What we found was a delightful restaurant with reasonably priced lunch selections. Service was amazing! I found myself wondering where the owner found such great employees. They were cheerful, professional, and efficient. Lunch was great and we resolved to make sure our return trip was scheduled to sample their evening dinner offerings. On our return trip, we found the same great service and great food. Next time we’re at Queen Wilhelmina State Park, a couple of side-trips to Jerry’s Fish Camp in downtown Mena will be part of our plans.
Note: I rarely take a photo of a restroom but this one was so clean I couldn’t resist sharing!

Absolutely the best in Mena! Family owned with an amazing atmosphere. So glad we stopped. Very personable and the food was straight out of grandmas kitchen! Keep up the great work! Can’t wait to visit again!

Lovely atmosphere! The decor is absolutely adorable. But the food is amazing! We has the fathers day prime rib and the cat fish. It was fantastic. The staff is wonderful, quick service, kind owners to make time to come and visit with you. We will be back!

We came from out of state and tried this local eatery. The food was amazing. BEST loaded fries ever. The staff is efficient and polite. Food service time was perfect. Atmosphere was clean and well designed. Although it was just the two of us, Jerry’s can also handle large families. This is a great stop for out of towners and locals.

I absolutely love this little restaurant! The food was great! The owner is a really nice guy. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful. Sunshine waited on us and was great! I would highly recommend! As for the poor reviews below, I expect that they were true. The owner admitted that it’s been a learning process and they’ve had to work out some kinks. But I think they are doing great now any hitting their stride!

Food was Luke warm, it took forever to get the food, the portions are tiny, the food tasted very Bland, like no seasoning at all, left there still hungry, they apparently do not give unlimited setups like most places do. The live entertainment was terrible, the waitress was very inattentive, every time the waitresses would pass my table they would bump into it, but never asked me how things were or if I wanted a refill. The waitresses seemed to overlook me for the tables that had more people, I guess they figured they would get a bigger tip at the other tables, and they were right after the way I was treated I only left a 4.00 tip. I truly wanted to give this place a good rating, but I cannot. I will not be going back again. Much better places in Mena to get catfish, like country express.

We went to eat at this place wanting some good fish.
Well, that was far from being good at all. We had fish and chips which so thin you couldn’t even tell it was catfish. It cost over $60.00 for three people. It wasn’t worth $5.00. We won’t be back for sure.
