I do not usually leave negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience. I ordered a Caesar salad, and unfortunately, the croutons were extremely hard—an issue that was acknowledged by the chef. I was offered bread instead, which I declined, as I was hoping for the salad itself to be corrected.
When the check arrived, the item was not adjusted or discounted. I was expecting a well-prepared dish, and the experience did not meet that expectation. I hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve consistency and guest satisfaction. Yet the service was amazing as and the best of all, they are pet friendly .

I loved my steak with mushroom reduction, and my chocolate mousse, and the atmosphere was classy.
It fell apart on service; At the end, we waved our credit cards for ten minutes, then got up to search for someone who could check us out. One woman summoned our waitress who had disappeared, and then we stood for fifteen minutes at the register while she went through what selections each of us 10 had in the executive fixed price menu: You had the iced tea or the lemonade? The salad or the soup? the chocolate or the mousse? What did this matter? We were elderly, standing on canes.
And when we were served, one woman who ordered the soup entree was served a small cup, and I was not served an appetizer at all. She was offered a second appetizer instead of the entree she paid for. I finally got my appetizer after everyone had finished theirs. We realized we had to play the waiter, and sort out who got what carefully between ourselves. This meant conversations were interrupted a lot which took a toll on our fun.
They also brought the wrong wines, but ladies graciously accepted a wine they didn’t want.

The atmosphere is very pleasant but the food is not tasty. Low value for money. We waited a long time for our dishes to be brought and generally for drinks or other things we needed. I didn’t see available options for kids.

Let me explain my review here in detail. I have spent a bit over 10 years tasting Italian restaurants in Costa rica. This is, if not the best carbonara I have tasted, or at least, the best one so far.
I asked how they make it and they answered what I was asking for in the proper Italian manner. Very different from restaurants like olive garden that, while good, are not authentic Italian food.
More over, the quality, the ingredients. If you love real, Italian food, this is the place to go.
I will continue evaluating other real Italian cuisine, but Terrazza Toscana has earned my review and vote.
The atmosphere was also beautiful along with the high quality attention to details. So expect above and beyond service.

Excellent atmosphere whether you choose to sit inside or out. The service was exemplary, the drink selection was well rounded, the portions were generous and the food was perfectly prepared and delicious. This is our new regular “date night” place to go.

I had such high expectations for this place but it fell very short. I came as a solo diner, not the only one in a fairly empty restaurant. The food was mediocre however the service was even worse. I had to ask 3x for water meanwhile every table around me had some and had been refilled numerous times. I received my wine and appetizer before getting a drop of water. I also noticed that every table around me had bread however I was never offered any even though I ordered 2 courses. I had to ask for bread as well. When my entree finally came I was further disappointed. The spaghetti bolognese had little to no flavor and the pasta was drenched in sauce. The best part of this experience was the stuffed figs, they were delish. Outside of that I seemed to be a bother to the staff.

Arrived on time, did not had our reservations claimed they don’t get online reservations although is the only option, restaurant doesn’t have a web page. The staff was very helpfull and accomodated us. Food is not even Italian authentic, pasta tastes store bough. The restaurant is ample, service is slow and forgets to bring requests like cheese on the pasta. Dish size is small, drinks are ok, overall experience average. Save your money, go somewhere else.
