Great atmosphere with very friendly service and very good Pizza! We got a Margarita and a Cheese a we liked the Margarita better! The sauce was a little too basic and tomato tasting not enough flavor as it didn’t seem to have much spices

We were staying at a nearby campground and luckily found this spot. The meat pizza was delicious and the chicken Parmesan was the best I’ve had in such a long time—juicy, tender, and perfect. Everything was so good and definitely worth getting. Wish I had taken better pictures, but we ate it too fast!

What a hidden gem! I love pizzas, and today I found a pizza bar that hit it out of the park!

Place has a retro decor which is very tastefully done and gives a warm, inviting feel to it. I’ve been to other pizza places but this one is different.

Service was excellent and Jarrod took great care of us.

Now food – we tried a couple of appetizers and ordered a large pizza for the main course.

Everything was prepared to perfection and seasoned well. Each had a different taste and unlike traditional pizza places, not bready.

We orders charred cauliflower, meatballs, garlic cheese bread which was a star – fresh baked bread with melted cheese and garlic – highly recommend it. The pizza formaggio was perfectly baked and the addition of pesto, roasted garlic along with the feta cheese was the perfect combination.

Finally, we tried the banana dessert which is a must have!

Love the place and highly recommend it

Absolute 5 star experience. Dave Portnoy was sooo right! It inspired me to get the company’s name as a flag on my wall!

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, place was not busy. Was greeted and seated quickly. Server was friendly and looked after us well. I got the pasta and meatballs and my wife got a pizza so we could have left overs. Food arrived hot and the portions were very good. Overall however it was a *MEH*.. middle of the road OK. Prices are what you would expect in Burlington but to us this was barley above (insert your town’s House of Pizza) here. The facility seems to be a converted steak house? or possibly a Bertucci’s? Does not look like they spent much to convert it to their branding. Interior design is classic 1990’s . Wife had to report to the server that the Ladies Room was an absolute bio hazard, and unusable in the current state. Based on the number of people in here and it was early in the day it clearly must have been from the previous day/night… Not good. In another stroke of weirdness there are two large stone Buddha’s to greet you to the patio area for this Italian place, wait what? Again clearly did not want to spend any money to remove them from one of this facilities previous incarnations. (see what I did there) . To avoid the usual comments on a bad review of “did you complain at the time” ? The answer is NO. Other than the cleaning issue which we did point out, nothing was “wrong” with the food it was just not good. The appetizer was decent and the front of house staff was pleasant and attentive , that is what saved this from being a 1 star.

This was my first coal fired pizza, and I enjoyed scarfing it down! The place is very clean, the tables were spaced appropriately for social distancing, and the servers wore masks. Our server was excellent overall. She was very attentive and friendly. The pizza was amazing. The pineapple mule cocktail was decent, but it was a bit more ginger than pineapple. I really want to try the banana dessert next time. Overall I am very glad to have visited Jack’s Coal Fired Pizza.

Update: came back through the area more than a year later and the pizza and service is as great as ever!

We went there with regular pizza place expectations but ambience was pretty cool with outdoor and indoor seating and bar but still very kids friendly. Kid’s menu is great with all kid’s favorites and it comes with their choice of drinks and desserts. Kid’s pizza size was pretty big and satisfying. As an adult, we loved their sangria, which in most other places turns out to be more like juice but not here, sangria was pretty good. We ordered chicken Parm and calamari which was good as well. Will go back again.

I ordered three large pizzas yesterday—a Forager, Formaggio, and Cheese—and I was really disappointed with the quality. The dough felt rubbery and had almost no flavor, which is very different from how it used to be when it was crispy and flavorful. The ingredients also seemed much cheaper than before. The Forager, in particular, had mushrooms that tasted old and had a plastic-like texture. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience compared to past visits.

I should note, this was for a takeout.

I got this right over Dave Portnoy …..Why didn’t I discover this place earlier?
This place has a great vibe, loved the atmosphere inside, the bright red chairs / sofa booths and the bright lights/ neon signs.

The customer service is on the slower side ( longer time to greet and take your order), however I will overlook this aspect because the server allowed up to customize our order … tending to our needs and thus excelled….

We ordered :
Coal fired wings ( half of them buffalo and half of them lemon herbed).
Tomato soup with garlic bread.
Large 16 inch pizza half of it was vegetarian and half was carnivore.
Vegetarian came with – tomato , zucchini, cauliflower, caramelized onions , red pepper , mushrooms and olives
The carnivore came with..
Tomato , mozzarella, bacon , sausage and pepperoni
In desserts we had the warm brownie sundae.

Rating –
Service – 4/5
Food quality and taste – 5/5 ( wings and pizza was amazing and so was the sundae)
Prices – 5/5 reasonable prices
Vibe / interior – 4/5

This place was delicious!!! We got the Carnivore pizza and the chicken scampi and they were both wicked good! The chicken was juicy and the sauce was tasty. The pizza was cooked to perfection! The wait staff was extremely attentive. Not only did we have a waitress but 2 other women frequently came by the table to make sure everything was ok. This was a great find because my boyfriend works right across the street, so we will definitely be back!
