Came here for two xolo dogs and it was.. Not what I had expected. The sausage itself was a little small / underwhelming but the toppings were tasty. The potato wedges, Onion rings and the smoothie was great. Overall great atmosphere and solid customer service.

Delightful weekend breakfast/brunch with an airy terrace and garden seating!
Well done traditional American grill fare, with a solid tap beer selection and casual cocktails, especially their signature, The Berry Good Dog (California sparkling wine and local Maine blueberries)!

Really bummed because I saw online and their Google page they have a real good lobster roll. They do NOT serve lobster rolls here anymore. The food was ok, the customer service was very friendly and the vibe was cool especially if you have a dog or a dog person.

Love this place! Their Chicago Dogs are next best thing to CDs in Illinois! I was ecstatic after moving to Maine from Northern Illinois to find Family Dog. Always feels like home away from home! Great job, FD!

Enjoyed the staff who were very helpful introducing us to the area and local cuisine. Wish we had brought our dog to enjoy the yard just outside.

Not sure why this sweet lil place doesn’t have 5 stars. My first time visiting “home” in months and I happened to stop here for brunch. I’m amazed. I’m stuffed with tasty, made-to-order food. Truly, a delightful experience all the way around. Especially with the small town friendly interaction with the folks that work here.
It’s a must stop folks. Please give em 5 stars!

Ordered two steak bombs, a chili cheese dog and a side of their goat cheese spread to try it. Came because a review said best steak bombs they had ever had. That guy needs to get out more. The steak bombs were small and on cold, small sub rolls . The hot dog was small and also on a cold roll with luke warm chili and cheese. The best thing we tried was the goat cheese spread , I ordered , which is what the 3 stars is for. The people were nice and its a nice looking place, but for the price, the owner should at least learn how to toast buns.

A large dinner feel in a college town with basket meals eating at a window shelf style seating or large HD wooden tables.
The food was average, onion ring basket was good.
We had shakes and frappes and they seamed weak flavored and not very thick.
Overall and okay experience but maybe a “little” expensive for the meals.

The food is overpriced. I paid almost $20 for two hotdogs and fries. The hotdogs were… sad. I got two different hot dogs- the chicago dog and the chili cheese dog. Both the chili and the cheese seemed canned, and the buns weren’t steamed toasted, or even warm. Plus the “meat sauce” on the chicago dog is exactly the same as the chili on the chili dog…. why is chili called meat sauce when it’s on a different hot dog? The fries were ok and they had malt vinegar for them.

I’ve dined in and gotten take out, neither experience was really that different or had any issues.
They have pretty affordable and tasty food, along with a decent ice cream selection at times though I haven’t ordered that during my visits yet. I have gotten a hot dog and a burger with both being quite nice and the burger kept well on the drive home imo.
They also have a small selection of canned beers available and I was able to find something I liked.
