I stopped at Sonic Drive-In this morning to grab a quick breakfast for my kids before school, thinking it would be a nice change from McDonald’s. When we arrived, the parking lot and drive-thru were completely empty, so I expected a quick stop.
I ordered a single breakfast sandwich and waited. After about 12 minutes, I noticed the drive-thru line had started moving and several other stalls had filled up. Customers who arrived after me were receiving their orders and leaving while I was still waiting.
I pressed the button a second time to ask about the delay, since we had only ordered one sandwich and had been the first car in the lot. A young employee quickly brought out the sandwich, but when I politely asked what had caused the delay, I explained that we had been there first and were now going to be late for school. Her response was extremely rude—she told me that it “wasn’t her problem.”
I went inside to speak with the manager, Anthony, simply to suggest he might want to address how staff speak to customers. Before I could even explain the situation, the employee came in and falsely told him that I had cursed at her, which I did not. The manager immediately told me to leave without even allowing me to explain what happened. I also had to ask him four times before he would give me his name.
I have already contacted corporate because the situation was handled so poorly. Based on how quickly the complaint was dismissed, it makes me wonder how often customers are treated this way. A little accountability and basic customer service would go a long way.

260115 ordered a bacon after cheese burger, light mayo, pickles, and onion

1st time I got lettuce and tomatoes.

2nd time I got no bacon.

Attention to detail no longer exists.

Got a refund and went to DQ.

Went through the drive thru and waited close to almost 20 min after I paid to get food. I had to leave because my child would be late to work. She was going to be pulling a double at her job, so we thought let’s go get you a meal on the way so you are good and not hungry. Needless to say she did not get her meal to eat before hand and I had to go back to sonic after I dropped her off to pick up her food and take it back to her, so she can hopefully eat it once she gets a break. When I got home with my son’s breakfast burrito. He ate almost half and said he can’t eat anymore with a disgusted face. The bacon was burnt. Really really burnt, as in it looked as if the heat was too high and somebody forgot bacon was cooking. They looked understaffed and really busy. The red head at the drive thru told me it was her first day, when I told her it’s been well over 15min and I got to come back because my daughter has work. I think that is a poor job on the management if they throw a new person into a spot she may not be ready for. I was just really irritated with the whole situation. Only positive was the coffee was good and not too sweet like usual.

OMG, placed my order and they came out with an incorrect order. Don’t know how you go from ordering a footlong coney with mustard, onions, and chili and end up bringing out the coneys with mustard, onions, and jalapeños. They took it back in, brought back the coneys with only mustard on them, told them again that was incorrect. So they took it back in and finally brought out my correct order. Now mind you, during those trips back and forth, my hamburger was getting soggy and cold and the Sonic Blasts were melting (I wasn’t given those items until they corrected my order)

My child needed to use the restroom. When we asked the carhop, she was rule and snapped at us saying they do not have public restroom. We waited for our food and drove to Jack and the Box. Maybe next time we should just go else where. They have a restroom on the outside of the building but common courtesy is lacking.

This place is the worst I’ve dined at in all the 25 years I’ve been here in arlington. I keep trying to go back to try again and they just can’t seem to do anything right.that was the very last time if you were smart you would go elswhete.

This location is terrible. They never get my order right. Anytime I’ve ordered French toast sticks in the past, they’ve never given me syrup with it when it is supposed to come with it. Today I asked for syrup with the French toast sticks twice when ordering to make sure. When the carhop, Sierra, came out with our food, she said, “here’s your food, and there’s syrup in there.” Then she rolled her eyes as she walked away. Didn’t need the attitude for y’all’s previous mistakes, first of all. THEN…. Surprise surprise! We got home and opened up the croissant sandwich and there’s no bacon in the sandwich when all we asked for was no cheese on it.
Another time I went, a man handed me my food in the drive-thru, and he had extremely disgusting fingernails… I don’t know if that bothers many people, but I lose my appetite seeing someone hand me my food with dirty fingernails. Never again will I be returning to this location. Some of the carhops need to fix their attitude, and the kitchen needs to learn their menu.

Drive in and eat in the car. The sundaes are great in the summer and the burgers are good. Best tots in town.

Most of the food is good. The workers are nice. One time, when my family and I went, it took around 25 minutes for our food to come. When the lady with our food came she was on skates and she fell right next to our car and all our drinks were spilled. She was okay, though. Then the manager went back inside and made our order in 5 minutes, so I don’t know why it took them 25 minutes to make I the first time. The atmosphere is also really boring, but the screens you order on are somewhat creative.
