I’ve been here several times now, and it keeps getting better. The flavors are authentic and consistent every visit. The plov is always perfectly cooked, and the meat is tender and well-seasoned. It’s rare to find a place that maintains quality like this. The workers were attentive and hardworking, even during busy hours. They handled everything calmly and efficiently. It’s clear they put effort into making sure guests are comfortable. Really appreciated their positive attitude. Special Thank you to AbdulAziz H.

Lovely central asian restaurant western Chicago suburbs. Food was a unique blend of middle eastern, European and south Asian cuisine. Some of the food was mildly spicy, others were not. I liked their fluffy naan, had a different texture and taste. There were a couple doing all the service but they were pretty fast. Loved the central asian ambience with beautiful lights and decorations.

Uzbek cuisine is absolutely incredible — rich, comforting, and full of soul. Every dish feels homemade and deeply rooted in tradition. The flavors are bold yet balanced, with perfectly cooked meats, aromatic spices, and fresh ingredients. Plov is a true masterpiece, bursting with flavor and warmth, while the bread is soft, fragrant, and unforgettable. You can really feel the hospitality and love behind the food — it’s not just a meal, it’s an experience. If you want authentic, hearty food that warms both your heart and stomach, Uzbek cuisine is a must-try.

Anjir was such a great find. From the moment we walked in, the service stood out — the two servers were welcoming, genuinely funny, and incredibly helpful when it came to recommending dishes. You could tell they cared about the experience, not just taking an order.
The food was absolutely incredible. We tried some of their most popular dishes — the chicken kebab, lagman, palov, and samosas — and every single one was packed with flavor and tasted freshly prepared. Nothing felt rushed or generic; each dish had its own personality and depth.
The interior vibe really ties everything together. It’s peaceful, colorful, and thoughtfully designed. There’s even the option to sit on the ground on a raised platform with cushioned seating, which made the experience feel both cozy and unique.
Overall, Anjir feels like a place you want to support — it truly seems family-owned and operated, and that care shows in every detail. We’ll definitely be going back, and I hope more people give this spot a try. Shout out to Beck our server!

What an incredible Central Asian culinary experience!
From the moment we sat down in a SORI, a traditional Uzbek seating area (see the last picture). My wife and I felt like we had been transported to another land. The atmosphere was warm and authentic, and our waiter was exceptionally friendly, offering thoughtful suggestions that made the meal even better.
We started with MASTAVA, a comforting soup of beef and vegetables, paired with FATIR, a massive, circular bread reminiscent of a croissant. The Fatir soaked up the soup like a sponge, and every bite was buttery, flaky, and rich. We couldn’t even finish half, but it was absolutely magical.
Next came the MANTI, tender dumplings stuffed with seasoned meat and onions, served with a tangy yogurt sauce that complemented them perfectly.
For the main course, we shared the SAMARKAND PALOV, a fragrant rice dish with vegetables and melt-in-your-mouth short rib beef. We also ordered one CHICKEN KEBAB and one RULETTE KEBAB, both perfectly grilled, juicy, and bursting with flavor.
Every dish tasted fresh, balanced, and deeply satisfying. If I could give Anjir more than five stars, I would. It wasn’t just a meal, it was a journey.

Excellent service, nice #halal food, and good ambiance. #Uzbek cuisine has some great choices. I tried Kazan Kebab. The meat was very tender and serving size is generous. If you are not a big eater, come with a friend. The drink Chalap is of yogurt with fizz. It is a big bottle. You may have to take it with you.

Great service and delicious food! If you are not familiar with dishes Manti and plov are the 2 staples of Uzbek cuisine and were very authentic. Carrot or Olivie salads are also something to try. If we are in the area again will definitely return.

My nephew and I decided to try a new cuisine and we weren’t what to expect given that we’ve never had food from Uzbekistan. Safe to say, we were NOT disappointed. We ordered the Kazan Kabab and Palov. Wow! So much flavor. We also had Kampot which is a cherry apple drink and it was so delicious. We finished our meal off with a slice of cake.
We will definitely be returning!
Also, the staff was so friendly and welcoming.

Unassuming from the outside, when you go in the restaurant. It’s so nice inside. Everyone is well dressed. Everyone is very professional. The food has been prepared fairly meticulously. Although the place looks like it’s going to be more of a fast food grab and go, you’re going to want to sit down and enjoy your meal inside. Wait staff was fantastic!
