I took a day off today and decided that I really wanted to go to Dairy Queen. Now I do want to say that I like coming here because in general their food is pretty quality. What you see in the picture is basically what you get in person in my personal opinion. But what made today stand out more compared to the other times that made me want to create this review was because not only was my order incomplete but it was given to another customer by accident. It’s only after the fact that they reminded me why I still come here. It was no big deal, the person that helped me was new and probably misunderstood what I said. What looked to be the store managers, or whoever, made it up to me by giving me a free meal due to the waiting and to the confusion. The staff is great as always and the food was quality as usual. Keep up the good work all of you.

We went through the drive through today to get a cherry dipped cone and we had our dog in the car and he said was out the window. We told them it was his 5th birthday and they came back with a pup cup for him!

Went to Dairy Queen for a tender basket with ranch on my lunch break. I was super hungry and wasn’t paying attention and dipped my tender in my ranch not thinking anything and noticed that it tasted awful. I looked at my ranch and realized it was spoiled. My ranch had foam on the lid and was gelatinized. Tried calling 3 times to let them know it was spoiled to prevent other people from receiving the same ranch but never got an answer.

Usually very busy but worth the wait. This staff and the quality of their treats are better than any other DQ around. DQ is good but this location is great!

This DQ drive-thru is very slow. Nearly every night there’s a line of cars wrapped around the building. And their exterior could use a bit of TLC. Missing signage, leaking water stains down the side of the building, cracked brick foundation, etc. You’d think with the tens of thousands they’re making every day, they could afford to beautify their premises and expand their drive-thru to decrease wait times…

I’m not sure what it takes for a Dairy Queen to fix or replace it’s chocolate ice cream maker. But, I know for certain that the Waukee dairy Queen has not fixed theirs in about 6 months. You make ice cream treats. You literally can’t do the one thing you’re supposed to do. One star.

I went to Dairy Queen (Waukee) last night 10 ish minutes before close with my boyfriend. We both ordered blizzards, he got heath and snickers, I got the new chocolate dipped strawberry (none of which comes with any nut product which is important for later). As I finished about 1/3 of my blizzard I noticed I was getting any of the cheesecake, chocolate or strawberry in the scoops I was eating. The other 2/3 of the blizzard was just vanilla icecream with none of the mix ins? Anyways as I got to the bottom I also got a piece of Reese’s cup, luckily I don’t have a nut allergy. But anyways if I wanted to pay $7 for vanilla ice cream I would’ve just gone to aldi and gotten two 48 oz pints at that rate.

When I took my son’s blizzard back in after finding a large chunk of the completely wrong ingredient in his ice cream, I asked if they could make a new blizzard. I also asked if they rinsed the blade to clean off other ingredients before then making a new blizzard the guy was clearly thinking it was absurd to ask for a new blizzard after I found the wrong ingredient and was quite verbal about it. so any and everything is just mixing together apparently. Atleast they did make a new one and I asked them to rinse the blades quick before making it – I then took it to my son and AGAIN it had cheesecake in his blizzard
When I went in again to just ask for money back- the as guy that was rude the first time then announced to his co-workers “oh wow she’s back!” And proceeded to say other things. When I spoke with the manager about this he ignored my mention of the employees behavior – and gave me my money back- so I blatantly asked if he would be addressing that with his employee – to which he said “yeah I can”
Completely disrespectful and horrible customer service and GROSS that they wouldn’t rinse between different flavors of blizzards. Quite sure the dept of health requires a little more effort.
Will NOT be returning. But wanted others to be aware of how much lack of quality product and service is occurring.
