The fundamentals of the Shabu-Shabu experience were well-executed. The vegetables provided were notably clean and fresh, offering a crisp and vibrant component to the meal. The soup base, while not exceptional, was perfectly acceptable and served as a pleasant foundation for the other ingredients.
The restaurant’s main draw, its premium meat selection, was best exemplified by the beef. The cuts were of a high quality, evident in the rich flavor and satisfying texture upon being cooked in the broth. This component alone makes a strong case for choosing this restaurant over its competitor. Also the drinks are pretty
Cảm ơn!
Their Korean fried chicken appetizers are AMAZING, perfectly crispy and full of flavor, and every single dipping sauce is delicious. I also really appreciate that they offer more variety, which is perfect when you have picky kids.
Safe to say… we can forget about Mikoji now Meokja has officially become our new go-to!
Our party was 3 adults and a child. We all ate plenty there and had plenty to take home. The prices are fair, they changed their pricing so that veggies and rice are unlimited. The Tonkansu and Tom Yum broth are my absolute favorite!
They currently have a promo of two free samosas per adult/meal and they are actually good.
This is our favorite shabu shabu and will continue to be back.
We came here just because of the high Google rating, but honestly, it was a huge disappointment. We’re not coming back, and we wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
First off, they require each person to order their own hot pot, even if you don’t eat much. The cheapest pot starts at $69, not including drinks or service charge — way off from the $30–$50 per person estimate shown online.
We ordered the cheapest meat set and the seafood set, and the quality was no better than a low-end buffet:
• The meat was cheap frozen slices, all stuck together and hard to separate.
• The seafood was not fresh at all, had a strong fishy smell, like it had been sitting in the freezer for way too long.
In the end, we paid over $170 for two people — almost $85 each — and we still left hungry. And we’re just average eaters, not big appetites.
What’s worse? We were the only customers in the whole restaurant during our visit. The glowing reviews really don’t match the actual experience. This place is a textbook case of a misleading high rating.
Don’t fall for the hype. You’d get a much better deal (and much better food) at pretty much any all-you-can-eat hot pot place nearby.
Summary: Overpriced, overrated, and cheap ingredients. Not worth your time or money.
