Great Vibes!
Went here yesterday for take out. I ordered 2 loaded beef/lamb swarma fries. The swarma was perfect coupled with all the cold toppings and hot crisp fries makes a really great dish. Portions were huge! We could have split one. All the sauces were great. We got the garlic and hot garlic sauce plus sides of tzatziki and tahini. The garlic sauce was milder than a lot of garlic sauces Ive had (i really go for the ones that taste like pulverized garlic and that’s it) the hot garlic was more up my alley as it had quite a kick. The tzaiki was thinner with excellent flavor. The tahini had herbs added which took it up a level from basic tahini.

I also got a piece of carrot cake. I will never be the same. Best carrot cake I’ve had in at least a decade. It is a carrot cake with all the flavor of a spice cake and the creamiest icing.

It was such good take out we went back for dinner today. We got an order of the loaded lamb/beef swarma fries because they were so good yesterday. We also got kabobs: beef, lamb and the kafta. All cooked perfectly. The kaftan is something special, the spices in it give it an unusual depth of flavor I haven’t had in kafta before. We ordered too much and took half to go plus a piece of carrot cake.

The food is top notch as is the service. The place has a really great atmosphere. There isnt just an artist in the kitchen. The whole place has an artist feel. There is original art on the walls. All kinds of little details in the decor. Even the promotional info posters for dishes are done by someone with and eye for graphic design. The takeout boxes were cool looking black boxes.

The outside seating is picnic tables and it is right on US1 so it might not always be the best. I heard someone say there was a wreck recently and ended up in the outside seating area.

Update: feta wrapped in phyllo cheese sticks are the bomb.

I had shawarma beef & lamb. Bland no real flavor, tasted of pickles, why would one add pickles? Also chicken shawarma better but just average. Had to pay more for fries as it had no side. Solid 4 rating.Pass on second visit.

Exceeded all my expectations! Wait staff is very friendly, attentive and warm. Owners are very hands on, they check on the guests and are very pleasant folk. Inside the eatery you will find homely and CLEAN interior with various, but equally comfy seating options. The food is fresh, perfectly seasoned and served fast. Skewer meat is so tender and juicy, it even squirts a bit when you bite into it. Sauces are nicely balanced and there is a good variety of flavors. They compliment the meat in the best way possible. I do not know another dining option anywhere in this neighborhood that would be even a remote rival to Swift Grill’s quality, flavor and price tag. I was very happy with my visit and wish this establishment many more years of success and looking forward to opening of a sister Grill in PSL. ❤️

Food and service were good. But a problem arose when the check came. The menu says that a combo can be ordered that adds a soda and soup $5. The check showed a charge of $8 for the soup. I pointed this out to the waiter, thinking it would be a quick adjustment. He got the owner. She said I ordered the expensive soup so the charge would stand. I showed her that the menu lists 4 soups, all priced at $8 a cup. Then she said I didn’t get a soda. So I ordered a soda. She finally adjusted the check after starting a ln extended argument. A small thing to be sure. But indicates a lot about the character of the owners. I will never return.

The owner responded to this review saying that ALL soups are premium and are not included in the combo upgrade. But the menu specifically says that soup IS a combo option. When I pointed that out on the menu to the owner, she said that although soups ARE included in the combo, the specific soup I ordered (lemon chicken soup) is NOT included because it contains “premium” ingredients. The response of the owner confirms my suspicion about the integrity of the owner.

I was impressed by the high rating and decided to give this Turkish Mediterranean restaurant a try. We ordered the kofta kebab, but after waiting about 30 minutes, the food was served. Unfortunately, when I checked the kebab, it was raw and poorly prepared. The experience was very disappointing, and I would not recommend this restaurant if you want to avoid wasting your money.

Went here for dinner with a couple friends last weekend and had a pretty good experience overall. The place has a relaxed vibe, nothing fancy but comfortable. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter and it came out hot and well seasoned. The rice was fluffy and the hummus tasted fresh. My friend got the falafel wrap and said it was solid, maybe just a little dry but still good. Service was friendly, though we did wait a bit for our food since it was busy. Prices felt fair for the portion size. I’d come back again when I’m craving Mediterranean food.

Outstanding meal. Everything was phenomenal. Especially enjoyed the hummus and dolmades. Will definitely be coming back and cannot wait for their location in Tradition to open!

I ordered a gyro with no onion and it came with chipped meat instead of slices and was soggy. The side salad was decent but both had too much dressing. The service was good and the place was clean. Perhaps I should have ordered a kabob. Not worth $20.

Very positive atmosphere and customer service was superb. Food was excellent quality and came out in a timely manner very good portion size and flavor was top notch. Even tried the chocolate cheesecake after our meals and I gotta say it was delicious and flavorful. We will definitely be returning again in the near future to try out some over there other many food choices.

2/7 update: the owners went above and beyond to explain the situation was an exception and not the norm. I had the pleasure of speaking with Vlad and then meeting his wife at their request, and I am confident that customer service is of utmost importance to them. I appreciated their “swift” response and I am looking forward to my next visit. In addition, I strongly disagree with the poor reviews about the quality of the food. It is my belief those reviewers lack the provenance and don’t truly know “authentic” Mediterranean foods.

1/26 6:30 pm update; I was super excited to revisit this establishment. Tonight, I was the only person in the entire restaurant. I ordered the ultimate sampler which came out immediately. About half way thru I asked the staff if there was two “musics” being played as the ambient music was very confusing. They had kitchen music playing as well as the house music. After I made my inquiry they turned off the kitchen music but it took a more than a while for the wait staff to be attentive. When approached, I asked for additional Pita. After almost 10 minutes, despite being the only patron, I received the extra Pita. I can’t help but feel that the kitchen’s comfort level was precedent to the patron’s with a definite attitude from everyone. In addition, this is the second time I ordered this dish and there is definitely not enough Pita to finish and was charged an additional $2. I a on’t be returning which is a disappointment as the food is excellent.

1/24: If heaven was in the form of a Middle Eastern diner, this would be Mecca. I passed by this place a dozen times thinking I should stop without knowing it would be my saving grace for Mediterranean food with the “perfect attitude”. Thank you.
