Excellent service and food – will definitely be back. The apps were great – the Crispy egg roll was amazing and the the Spring roll was fresh (maybe needed more seasoning, but the sauces made up). The Pho we had was sooo good — 5 stars easily! The Bánh Mì Classique was the only average things we had. It needed a better roll and more vegetables and flavor. Looking forward to a return visit to try some of the rice dishes.

Been waiting for d’Annam to open and I was not disappointed. Sat at the bar and ordered my food to go, but overheard some patrons talking about the wings, so I had to try them. Boy am I glad that I did. Incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and paired with a great sauce. The owner and whole team were very kind and I will certainly be back again to try some other things on the menu – but definitely ordering the wings!!

What a wonderful restaurant! The quality of the food was superb; I ordered a crispy spring roll and Huế Spicy Noodle (Bún Bò Huế). 10/10 would eat there again!

Vietnamese is one of my favorite cuisines. D’annam is a top of my list for Vietnamese food in Richmond now. I went in yesterday noticing they were open. The lighting and tables create a comfortable and inviting space to begin. It was apart of their soft open and the whole menu was not offered yet, but not one choice I made was a disappointment. I started with their coffee, which is brewed to order and every sip was delightful. For my first meal I ordered the most basic to start a crispy roll and chicken Pho. The crispy roll was in my belly before I had a chance to take a picture and my body felt buzzing from happiness from the broth. My advice is to start with adding less ingredients before more to your soup since it’s made to perfection and needs little doctoring. The staff and owner were welcoming and attentive I hope they are here to stay. So delicious I’ll be back today to share the experience with my boyfriend and try more of the menu.

This was phenomenal (pho-nomenal?) food! While the wait was long, it’s clear to see why it is so popular. I am looking forward to coming back soon!

D’ANNAM Vietnamese Cuisine did not disappoint on my first visit this afternoon. Convenient location on West Broad St. near Hungary Rd, with plenty of onsite parking. The interior is beautifully designed and constructed, and the comfortable seating is well placed to minimize noise and allow for easy table conversation. While I’m no expert on Vietnamese cuisine, I know what I like, and I LOVED their food. The fresh spring roll was on point – flavorful, perfectly sized and a great start to my meal. The Maison Rice Plate was fantastic – probably the best pork chop I’ve ever had, and I highly recommended the addition of a fried egg. Pro tip: you’ll have enough left over for dinner. Our server was attentive but not overbearing, and the owner stopped by to ensure we were happy and share his vision stated on the menu: “At D’ANNAM, dining is more than nourishment – it is a refined experience shaped by craftsmanship, tradition and heart.” Well said, and well executed. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

I had the beef pho and it was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles. Definitely a must-try! The service was great, and the atmosphere made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend.

Absolutely phenomenal food, I went for lunch today with my Grandma and we were blown away. Food’s great, and reasonably priced, and the owner is such a delight. He brought out a couple iterations of the fish sauce for us to try with our egg rolls (which are quite possibly the best egg rolls we’ve ever had) and we had a wonderful conversation with him. This is definitely a new go-to spot for us.

d’Annam was absolutely out of this world delicious! The noodles, pho and spring rolls were all incredible— without a doubt this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Richmond. The attention to detail is also incredible, the restaurant is filled with beautiful lanterns, which provide such a lovely ambiance. Even the drinking glasses are special and reminiscent of Vietnam. The owner is really kind; he told us about the origin of some of the cuisine and it is clear that he puts his heart and soul into this wonderful place. I cannot wait to return!

They’ve done a really good job renovating this place to be a Vietnamese restaurant. The food was very fresh and tasted high quality. The service was excellent; we came on their soft launch night (2/03) and everyone was welcoming and happy to explain the menu to us; our waiter and the host convinced us to try sugar cane juice and it was super refreshing! They make it in house, from what we were told. We will definitely be back; very excited for a new Vietnamese restaurant in the area.
