Their food is phenomenal.It is the best food in the jefferson mall for someone who pays such high rent and 3% of their sales. I would just leave because this is the only place that keeps the Jefferson mall open.
I really think they should expand to their own restaurant. There are plenty of places in that area that would love to have them. I would love to have them in their own place. So I can dine in cleanliness instead of the dirty Jefferson mall tables. Their very family oriented and very nice. Everyone has a smile, you hear no complaining from Anyone. Not even the teenagers

I have been going to Max Orient for nearly 15 years now and have never been disappointed, not once. Great service, great food. In and out in 5 minutes after you get to the counter to order. There is usually a small line, make sure you wait in that line. It’s worth the wait.

First time trying this establishment and thought it would be pretty good as the line was from the start to the end of the food court aisle. I ordered the bourbon chicken and fried rice. The meal started out pretty good, rice was bland but fresh as was the chicken. As I finished a small portion of the chicken at the bottom of my container there was something white which I initially assumed was egg whites from the rice. As I picked it up I noticed it was a small piece of already chewed gum. Disgusted and immediately sick to my stomach I spit everything I had just eaten into a napkin. Returned to the register and requested to speak with the manager in which an older gentleman approached and I explained to him what was found in my meal and he examined it and asked well what can I do for you? I said well, I can’t eat it. He asked if I wanted my money back in which I agreed of course. There was not even an apology, and even the look of anger that he had to return my money. Well sir, think of how I felt knowing I had just eaten chicken with someone’s gum and saliva soaking in the same sauce. I will NEVER eat here again, and will caution any and everyone to check their food from here and any establishment thoroughly.

This place never disappoints. Always service with a smile and fresh hot food. Let’s not forget the portions. You get your moneys worth and leave with your tummy satisfied. Always enjoy eating here in the mall. They work hard and do circles around the other food places. Great job!

If I could rate the food a 0 star, I would. The rice is old, it tastes like how I imagine toes taste like after a hot summer day, it’s so bad. The chicken was okay compared to the rice, but it was old & over cooked too. The service was fast, & it was quiet. Just that the food was a waste of my money.

Looking for a local gem? Look no further! I’ve been coming to Max Orient for over 15 years and it’s just as good today as it was then. Their food is always fresh and delicious, they have great prices and large portions. Sitting hear eating (when I only came to the mall to get Max Orient) I have seen at least 4 groups come and go, only coming in the food court doors, getting their food here and leaving.
