I’ve been coming to Uncorked for years and they’ve fueled our Sierra adventures in both sun and snow, alike. I’ve become good friends with the staff and both owners, Chris and Kel, and it’s taken me too long to leave a review.
Uncorked has, hands down, the BEST selection of wines in the Tahoe Basin. Their staff’s knowledge is top notch, their pricing is incredibly fair and their hospitality is warm and genuine. You could blindly pick a bottle off the shelf and be guaranteed it will be good whether you’re looking for a pricey special occasion wine or an every day porch pounder.
If you’re in Tahoe City or staying at Palisades or North Star, don’t fret because they have locations there as well. Every single shop is just as good as the last. Oh! And and Uncorked at Northstar is a full-scale restaurant that is the best food in the resort, no question about it!

Yummy beer as part of Truckee Literary Crawl 4.2025! Next time I’ll sample wines but today it was Maui Brew Co. Pineapple Wheat. Light taste, slight Pineapple tones dancing on the tongue! Would love a larger food selection.
