It was amazing!! I ordered stir fry and it was really good. Then I asked for a recommendation for dessert. Ohhhh they suggested Mango Sticky Rice and ohh it was so good. Sweet but not too sweet and the sesame seeds and the right touch of savoryness. I would highly recommend. My dessert was to go and I would order this again and again.

The menu boasts Best Orange Chicken, and it is not a lie! It was the actual best Orange Chicken I’ve ever had. Everything was delicious. Be and Bo are wonderful people who make delicious fresh food. If you want to support an amazing local business you should definitely try this place.

I’ve eaten here a few times for dine-in, but I was really disappointed with the take-out I ordered.
It was tofu tried rice and for $17 I feel that it should have been loaded with protein. There were only a couple of pieces.
It was also very bland, so I went back to ask for chili sauce or sriracha and they don’t have any type of hot sauce….. at a Thai restaurant.

We just happened across Spice on a road trip. We wish that it was in our hometown. The best Orange Chicken is right!
All the food and starters tasted original and fresh. Perfect portions and very fast.
Our server T was very attentive and friendly.
We will be back!

The restaurant is run by 2 people doing everything, and there are very limited tables so they are often full and the food takes long, I would recommend calling ahead and confirming they are not full and are open, as the hours are quite erratic. The food is worth all the hassle, the garlic chicken wings are SO GOOD they were so good I forgot to take a picture. The drunken noodles were good as well as the pad see-u. I liked how they tore up a fried egg and put them in for an eggy flavor. They incorporated the veggies so well that even my 11 year old who will not eat any veggies gobbled up all of them. They incorporated the atmosphere was nice and relaxing and with a lot of warm homey touches.

Pretty good Thai food. I liked their curry, would eat again if I could. Fair warning though this is a two person business so expect a somewhat long wait for your food. But overall pretty good.

The service was excellent, and the waiter was engaging. The atmosphere was very cozy and cute. We ordered for our appetizers fried spring rolls, fried tofu, and pot stickers. For our main course, we ordered vegetable pad thai without baby corn and the orange chicken. The food tasted fresh and was delicious.

Spice Thai Restaurant in Merrillville, Indiana, is an absolute gem that deserves every bit of praise it receives. From the moment my party and I walked through the door, we were met with warmth and hospitality that exceeded all expectations.
The fact that the owner, Boo, and her friend were still there preparing meals even though it was close to closing time speaks volumes about their dedication to providing exceptional service. Despite the late hour, Boo welcomed us with open arms and made us feel right at home.
The restaurant itself is impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. Even though they were nearing the end of the day, the staff ensured that every detail was attended to, making our visit truly memorable.
Now, let’s talk about the food. Each dish we ordered was an explosion of fresh flavors that left us craving more. From the delectable appetizers to the mouthwatering main courses, every bite was a culinary delight. And let’s not forget about the dessert – the sticky rice and mango were a perfect ending to an already exceptional meal.
But what truly sets Spice Thai Restaurant apart is the passion and dedication of its owner, Boo. Her commitment to providing top-notch service and delicious food is evident in every aspect of the dining experience. Her warm personality and genuine hospitality make guests feel like cherished friends rather than mere customers.
In conclusion, Spice Thai Restaurant is a must-visit establishment in Merrillville, Indiana. Whether you’re a local resident or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by for a meal that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you craving more. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

I ate here yesterday with friends from work and I enjoyed the orange chicken dish here and the egg rolls were absolutely delicious. The only complaint I have is that I feel it should have been an option to substitute fried rice in place of the steamed rice without having to buy a separate $12 order of fried rice. You should truly consider offering the option of just paying a few dollars extra and replacing the steam rice with fried rice. Other than that one complaint, the food was good and the young man serving us was friendly and very helpful!

We started with egg rolls and crab rangoon (both were fresh and delicious). Then I had the Tom Yum soup (the broth was tasty, but the soup had very little in it for the price). Then we had the orange chicken and the shrimp fried rice. We both drank water, and the cost without tip was around $67.
