This is the definition of a “hole in the wall”, when u get there the place is a mechanics garage and a store with this restaurant next door. We proceeded to order food and wait, as we waited we tried the bathrooms and we couldn’t use them its was leaking from the ceiling right into the toilet. The sweet bread area was moldy and filled with expired bread. We were beginning to get scared and hesitant about eating there. But it was the only latin food spot open. And we had already ordered
The food was OK, I got Caldo de res and my kids had pupusas. At 1st glance it all looked pretty good. The sopa tasted DELICIOUS and the veggies were spot on but the meat was TOO hard and chewy. The pupusas were very GREASY but tasted ok. Not ur traditional pupusas tho. Overall ok food considering whats available put there at that time.

Can’t speak to the rest of their food, the the carna asada plate was amazing. It was seasoned really well with a little bit of heat to it. My sides were yellow rice, and pinto beans. The beans were seasoned really well and were different than what I am used to in a good way. The tortillas tasted as if they were freshly made and were definitely the best I have ever had. I will absolutely come back again.

I drive trucks for living so if I’m close by any Spanish food at any city I definitely stopping. But the looks outside was horrible looking but as soon you walk in boom that smell hit’s you. As soon a seen that Dominican lady I knew the food was going to be good. Didn’t want tacos or nothing Mexican just wanted what she cooked and it didn’t disappoint. I’m Make sure getting another load heading there. The reason I didn’t give 5 star because they did not no con con!!

We ordered papusas for dinner( pork, bean and cheese, and cheese). I also got some beans and rice(next time I’ll pass on those). They also have ala carte option . I have to say the oven cooked ribs looked delicious . Our family liked all the papusas with the bean and cheese as the favorite .

I am a big fan of this place especially their Chicken Quesdilla and Rice/Beans. My only issues is their low health score. I would feel more comfortable eating there if it were higher. Currently at a 84.5 is not great. It is a shame because like I said the food is something special but it’s hard to order with a clear conscience when the score is so low on comparison to other restaurants around. Would love to know how you make your beans because they other magnificent.
