Had a fantastic dinner at Scotto’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria in Waynesboro and was blown away.
The linguine with white clam sauce was outstanding—perfectly cooked pasta, rich flavor, and done exactly right. The wedding soup was phenomenal too… comforting, flavorful, and clearly homemade with care.
Great food, great experience, and a place that absolutely lives up to the hype. If you’re anywhere near Waynesboro and craving solid Italian food, this spot is a must. Highly recommend! ✨

Ordered a chicken Parmesan sub to go. Got home opened up the box 2 day old processed chicken cut up into strips with a little bit of sauce and cheese. Slapped on top The worst chicken Parmesan sub I’ve ever had. I would have taken it back to get my money back, but I live 20 minutes away, I ate about 1/3 of the sub and threw the rest away chicken was like rubber

This place seems busy and established, so I expected decent Italian food. Unfortunately, it missed the mark.
I ordered the chicken Marsala and it tasted like nothing. No depth, no richness, no real flavor. I added salt and it still didn’t improve. The chicken itself was fine, but the sauce was completely bland.
My kid’s fries came out cold, like they were cooked early and sat until everything else was ready. Even the bread came out with the meal instead of beforehand.
The staff was kind and polite, but they were largely absent from the dining area and seemed to spend most of their time in the kitchen, only coming out when necessary. It felt inattentive and a bit disconnected.
Overall it felt like low-effort Italian. I expected more and won’t be returning.

Food was great. I had their fettuccine Alfredo with veggies. My son had baked spaghetti and meatballs; he declared it “delicious.” Service was AMAZING. We came at a random time (3 p.m.) so it was quieter but there were still a few tables full! Honestly would recommend them for the service alone, but definitely worth it for the pasta, too!

Even though I’m in Va, I am a true New Yorker. I asked for a pepperoni and sausage pizza, but I want it New York style. Then I said I want it sausage and pepperoni. Poor child looked confused and had a young lady from Jersey deal with. She said it’s the same. We laughed. I ordered my pizza and a lasagna to go. The pizza was really good. 1 day I’m going to sit there and order. The lasagna was cheesy. The banter, atmosphere, scream for me to come again.

If you’re like me, somedays only pizza will fight off hunger, and this place has a good one! The cheese, grease, and crust ratio was good! I did have pepperoni as a topping, and it came with a good amount. But even if I had just gone cheese, it would have been good pizza. Next, I will try a pie with all my favorite toppings. Also, to be fair, I got my pizza to go. I did look around the inside a little while I waited, but the full dine in experience will come later, and I will update my review then. The place looked clean, plenty of seating, the hostess was nice as well as a waitress I spoke to. They had lots of good choices on the menu, so I’m sure if you’re in the mood for Italian, you will find something tasty here. Stop by and give them a try!

I did a delivery order for fettuccine Alfredo. This was so bland!! Zero flavor!! I tried adding my own parmigiana cheese and garlic. Nothing helped it. I really love their pizza and sandwiches. But ordering from the diner menu is lack luster at best!!!

Waitress was kind, attentive, offered refills. Bread was warm and crispy. Alfredo was creamy, but it needed a lot of salt, there wasn’t much cheese flavor or hints of garlic (minus one star). Fettuccine was perfectly aldente. The sausage had a good fennel flavor but was in a casing like a brat. The tiramisu was perfect, absolutely perfect. There are several dessert options. There was no one else in the restaurant at 530pm. ♀️ By the time I left, there were 3 tables seated and there had been several to-go pickup orders.

Was very excited to go in person. Usually order to go. Super disappointed. The waitress barely took the time to get our order, didn’t even ask which salad we wanted which is offered under their lunch options as well as bread which we also did not receive. They forgot to bring my husband’s salad, I never got one or was even asked, we also had to remind them we ordered fries for my daughter. All of that to also add I have typed this whole thing while we have sat waiting to ask for the bill for a good twenty minutes with the food still chilling on the table.
