I tried this place out and its decent. The price is okay ♂️
I got this dish which name I forgot and it was delicious, the tortilla looking bread was yummy too. And I also got this mango slushy and give you free glass of water One thing is the communication, i had a hard time talking to the server bc he didn’t really understand and I’m surprised! Like come on man. Overall good, ima come back though

Royal Kitchen is truly a hidden gem in the East Bay .. freshly cooked, authentic Indian food that instantly feels like home. The egg curry is a rare and absolute standout, and hands down some of the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend!

Royal Kitchen in Oakland is a great find for authentic Indian food. The flavors are rich, the spices perfectly balanced, and the portions generous. From biryanis to curries, every dish tastes freshly prepared and comforting. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is clean with a relaxed atmosphere. A dependable spot for flavorful, homestyle Indian dining.

Samosa chaat was extremely flavorless. Literally got few drops of chutney on the side in a small container. The yogurt tasted like it was turning bad/expired.
I had to throw the entire dish as I couldn’t eat any!!
Wasn’t worth $16. I understand running a business is hard these days, but few drops of tamarind and mint chutney for Samosa Chaat is not fair!!

We had a meal at the Royal Kitchen Indian restaurant in Oakland, which is super close to the airport, making it really convenient. The food was surprisingly awesome! The Naan was crispy and delicious, especially the jalapeno Naan—highly recommend it. We tried the Malai Kofta and a Paneer dish, both of which were fresh and bursting with flavor. Our server, Amrit, was really humble and helpful, adding to the great experience. The salty lassi was spot on, though the portion was smaller than what you get at other Indian places. All in all, it’s a fantastic spot to grab a bite when you’re in Oakland.

I ate here tonight for the first time. I won’t be returning. There was only 1 diner in the restaurant when I walked in at 5:30 pm. I was told to sit anywhere. The server came over and never said one word. No hello, nothing. I didn’t feel welcome at all. I ordered my food which I will say was very tasty. My naan bread was brought to me cold. The server brought out fresh hot naan bread after I told him it was cold. Then I had to ask several times for my chutney for the naan. The atmosphere was just dead in the restaurant. No music or anything. Your food is very good so I hope you can improve your service because I pleasant dining experience is more than just the food. Good luck and thank you.
Respectfully, Robert McCoy

I ordered a biryani from this place through Grubhub two days ago and found multiple stone pieces in it. I bit on it few times to realise that it would have broken my teeth. Luckily the kids didn’t swallow it either. When I reached out to Grubhub. Their response is “ we apologize and are really sorry you had this experience “ . Never again am I ordering from them. Horrible experience!!
