Honest review I went today 02/11 food is normally always great for that 4 stars. I originally wanted baked chicken, Mac and cheese and yams pretty simple but they didn’t have baked chicken so I opted for the fried chicken wing dinner. The wings were really good!. Now this is where it gets strange smh after my food was done and was handled off to one of the younger ladies I seen her lean over my food and whisper something to the other young girl I didn’t think much of it just give me my food so I can go I figured she was just adding the biscuit I guess the gag was they gave me a burnt biscuit lol. Picture included. I won’t be returning don’t play over my food.

I try this place at least 3 times a year. It’s always a struggle for me to understand what’s the hype. I cook so much better than this place. This will definitely be my last time, after my experience today.

I ordered the turkey wing dinner. It’s definitely not to my liking. They are too big and the gravy is a strong “NO” for me. The collards and Mac were mediocre. Oh, and I must add the lady who served me the sides, gave me a scoop of Mac & cheese as if she was serving a toddler.

I did mention it to her in a nice way, she paid me no attention. The lady who served me the turkey wings, happened to prepare two customers meals from start to finish, and she wasn’t afraid to put Mac & cheese on those two customer’s tray’s.

Terrible customer service.

The people were very rude the cashier the lady with the dreads and glasses the male cook with corn rolls. I asked for one of the items that was supposed to be cooked, and they did not know how long it would be before the item returned to the Food line, I attempted to ask again and the cashier cut in with a fake politeness I will never eat there again. And people were outside, asking for money before I even walked in, a man and a woman. They need to have security around that place, to stop the pain handlers. They also are not fit for handicap individuals with a ramp to access the curb.

Stayed up way too late and drank a little too much last night so naturally I had to get my soul food fix. This is honestly some of the best soul food I have had in a minute. Service was great. The ladies up front were so sweet and patient with me when recommending what I should get as a first timer. I rarely stop in the middle of my meal to leave a review but it was on my spirit to do so. No doubt I’ll be back. Might be tomorrow lol Good stuff RCs Kitchen!!

Definitely worth the long drive from the south end!!! The banana pudding is off da chain! I don’t like anybody meatloaf until now… this place reminds me of big momma cooking, smothered pork chops and turkey wings, with greens and cornbread. The best part they are The Only Soul food place open 7days including sundays

The staff was so nice! And everything tasted great – the cornbread was a little sweeter than I like, but if that’s all you have to complain about, you’ve had a good meal Loved the fried chicken, blacks eyed peas, and yams. Good sweet tea too. A little heartbroken they didn’t have any peach cobbler ready though.

When I tell you this food was phenomenal. It was worth the wait. Cube steak was cooked to perfection. Tender and tasty, well seasoned. As well as Turkey Wings, mac-n-cheese, and broccoli cheese casserole. Employees were nice and generous with portions and despite the wait, everything was lovely!!! Highly recommend!!!

I went to RC’s Kitchen today to support a small black owned business in my area. To be honest today was not the first time I patronized the business but I will say the customer service was bad. I ordered a rib dinner with yams and greens. I asked the lady who was serving my food can I get the ribs with sauce on the side? She responded very rudely it comes like that. Cool, I also asked can I get a side of onions and tomatoes and she completely ignored me. I was not given a piece of cornbread which is normally given with the meal so I asked if they had cornbread today and she didn’t respond. Then i said hello I didn’t here you and she responded very rudely saying you see that spot missing, that is where the cornbread goes. Someone will bring some out. I said ok. The customer service was very poor. I get to the counter to pay for my food and asked if I can get some hot sauce and I was ignored. The food wasn’t bad but I think they should definitely work on customer service.

This was my third visit to RC’s Kitchen, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations.

I visited on a Sunday afternoon in Atlanta and anticipated a longer wait due to the pleasant weather and weekend crowd. However, the line exceeded an hour. While waits can be expected during peak times, the overall food quality and order accuracy did not justify either the delay or the pricing.

Fried Chicken (white meat) with two sides and white rice:
There was initial confusion regarding the price of white rice, as I was quoted $4.99 despite the menu listing it at $2.99. A manager corrected the issue. Upon arriving home, the cabbage side was missing. The chicken appeared improperly cleaned, with visible feathers remaining, and the mac & cheese was excessively salty.

Turkey wings with rice and two sides:
The rice was missing from the plate. The turkey wings were undercooked and difficult to chew.

Fried Chicken (dark meat) with two sides:
The chicken was overcooked and not suitable for consumption.

The total bill was nearly $80, and the majority of the food was discarded due to quality concerns.
Attempts to contact the restaurant by phone were unsuccessful. Given that I live approximately 30 minutes away, returning the food would have required a significant additional time commitment.

RC’s Kitchen’s pricing suggests a premium dining experience. While customers may accept longer wait times and higher prices, they reasonably expect consistent quality and accurate orders.

Based on multiple visits with similar outcomes, I do not plan to return.

The 1st couple times I came here the food was great, but since then it has gone downhill. There is no consistency. I expect my greens and yams to have the same deliciousness every time for the money I’m paying. I noticed today that the greens and dressing were overly salty. This was 1st time trying the mac n cheese and it was pretty horrible. Where are the grandma’s that really know how to prepare soul food?
