The Food:
The pizza here is top-notch. The crust is perfectly crispy and has a great bite. My personal favorite is the Detroit Style—definitely worth trying. Also, don’t sleep on the wings! They are a great value, served piping hot, huge, and delicious. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality you get.

The Experience:
The only downside is the ordering flow. It’s incredibly confusing for first-timers. I stood there for 10 minutes and still couldn’t figure out where the line started or if I was accidentally cutting in front of someone. The staff is friendly, but the layout needs a serious upgrade.

Pro-Tip for Newbies:
1. Pick your Pizza Style first (Detroit, NY, etc.).
2. Then pick your Flavors/Toppings.
3. If you’re overwhelmed, just point at whatever looks good in the display case—you can’t really go wrong.

I’ll definitely be back for the food, but I hope they fix the floor logic soon!

Slice House is still one of the best pizza chains in the bay area hands down. Their wise guy is such a great pizza that I get it every time I go.

Their XL pizza is huge and if on the fence I’d say just get a slice or two since those are a great value too.

I’ve finally tried the pizza here last night and it was as good as I have heard! I had a slice of the Wiseguy pizza, it was so good! I just had to try another slice so I tried a Detroit slice of Tony Jack. Very tasty but, too much bread for me. I’ll be back to try some more!

If you’re a pizza lover, Slice House in Walnut Creek is a must-try. The menu offers an impressive range—from New York and Sicilian to Detroit-style slices—all crafted with bold flavor and perfect texture. I had the Wiseguy slice it was absolutely on point: crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor.

Service is fast and friendly, even when it’s busy, and the location has a casual vibe that works whether you’re dining in or grabbing a slice on the go. I also loved how clean the space was, and parking was surprisingly easy for downtown Walnut Creek.

Prices are fair for the quality—you’re paying for real-deal ingredients and a slice that fills you up.

Finally got to try the famous Slice House pizza and we love it! We had no idea how it all worked but when you go in the space is small you can get a slice or more that is ready to go or place an order for a complete pizza. We went with 2 slices each and let me tell you they are huge! Good flavors and the crust was perfect. We would like to order a pizza vs slice next time.

Tony should take his name off this place.. It used to be good, but the quality of the pizza has gone completely downhill. The staff (who are generally really nice) do a poor job keeping up with demand for slices. At 8:15 last night, pretty much all they had left were cheese slices. Don’t get me wrong. I love a good cheese slice but these were super disappointing. Dry, hard, excessively chewy, and worst of all – pretty much no flavor at all. By comparison, we ate at Tony’s in the city two weeks ago and the pizza was absolutely amazing (as always).

Best pizza I have ever tried in my entire life! I have to get a slice every week! If this restaurant stops existing, I don’t know what I’d do

I have been looking at this place for a while now because I’ve only ever heard good things. But everytime I tried its always ridiculously packed. Takes 30 minutes to order, an hour for the food to be ready, and theres like… 12 seats indoors. Tonight we decided to give it a shot. Placed the order online and drove 20 minutes to get pick it up and take it home. Wait time was about an hour so I left early cause walnut creek is a nightmare on friday nights.

Got there early and waited the next 30 minutes for the food. After an hour, the pizza was ready and sitting and the rest of the items were still being made.

Went back in another 10 minutes later and they finally called my name with all my items.

Drove 20 minutes back home and by that time the pizza was luke warm, the pesto pasta was bland and dry, cheesy garlic bread was Luke warm and the meatball was, decent. It seemed like the pizza had been sitting for a good but before I walked out with it.

The pizza tasted good though, honestly. Just colder than it should’ve after 30 minutes.

The most disappointing thing is that I drove past Rocco’s Ristorante twice to eat cold pizza and dry pasta when I couldve eaten there and been home sooner.

Expect a decent wait during busy times
at this local hot spot. Is it worth it? Yes! Pizza is hot, fresh and delicious. Teen son loves an authentic basic cheese pizza and this is his number 1 choice. Delicious pizza!

It genuinely saddens me to write a review like this because I have actually enjoyed both the food and my experiences here on two previous occasions. However, after what happened on Friday night, I felt it was important to speak up.

I recommended this place to my cousins who were visiting from out of town. We drove about 30 minutes to get pizza and arrived roughly 20 minutes before closing. When we walked in, we asked the staff if they were still open and if pizza was available, and we were excited when they confirmed that they were. As we began placing our order, the staff member assisting us with putting the slices in the oven was kind, helpful, and professional.

Unfortunately, the two staff members working the register were extremely rude and unprofessional. While we were selecting our slices, they were making faces, gestures, and openly mocking my cousins and me. My cousin noticed this behavior, called them out on it, and we ultimately decided to leave the establishment.

My feedback for management is to prioritize hiring and training professional, respectful individuals. It is both embarrassing and hurtful to be mocked while supporting a business, especially one I had recommended to friends and family.

As for the staff involved (excluding the individual who was helping us with the pizza), my message is simple: grow up.
