Once in a blue moon my beautiful Bride and I are in the same area for lunch. Today was one of those and we met at The Cow.
We walked in, there was not many people inside – we were there about 11:30. We were greeted right away and told we could find a seat. More people arrived as we were there and got the same warm friendly greeting.
The waitress took our drink order immediately. The drinks were back quickly. We ordered sandwiches , a chicken pesto and a Jessa, both with jalapeno cheddar chips.
We did not have to wait long before our fresh food arrived. The bread on the Jessa was toasted nicely with a good portion of meat with a tiny bit of bacon and avocado. It was good. My Bride enjoyed her chicken pesto but would have liked it better if it wasn’t chunks of chicken, she had in her mind a breast. It was good though.
The chips were okay, not too spicy or cheesy,, just hints of the flavor.
The server was friendly, we were in and out quickly for a sit down and the meal was solid. We’d happily come back.

This place doesn’t need more cowbell- because there’s a guy dressed as a cow ringing a cowbell out front!! Ha! Fun stuff.. beautiful interior. It’s a solid remodel giving cowtown saloon feel but fully modernized. The gamble in this place is: has the bull whip hanging on the cattle horns, on the bars mirror, ever actually been cracked? We all bet No, it hasn’t. Does that change how tender the Rueben is? How lightly toasted the marble rye bread is? How crisp the dinner salad was? Also NO. Delicious. When you leave you get to walk in the remodeled downtown area also. This downtown Greeley certainly isn’t the one I recall from the 1990’s! I’m glad they stayed connected to their roots though. You couldn’t rebrand this town. Get it? Brand..? You get it..

Mmy husband and I were in town visiting and were looking for somewhere different to eat. The sandwiches here sounded good and with the price we thought they’d be plenty to eat. We each ordered a sandwich which came with a side. Well no they come with a bag of chips, anything else is an upcharge. I ordered a side salad with mine for an extra $5 (sells by itself for $6.50). We ordered online and my husband picked our food up. For the 2 sandwiches, an upgrade to a side salad, and an order of chips with queso we paid a little more than $50. Would have been ok if the food was at least decent. The sandwiches were average size at best and the entire crust was hard as a rock. I mean so hard it had to be torn off and thrown away, you could not even bite into it. The side salad I paid an extra $5 for was literally the smallest salad ive ever had. Usually one dressing is hardly enough for a salad. The littlest container you could get of dressing was more than enough. The less than one metric cup of queso we received with our overflowing entrée sized container of chips seemed like it was more water than cheese. Tasted as much too. We were extremely disappointed in both the good and the price. We like trying new places when we’re away from home and enjoy good food, which we have no problem paying goid money for. If it’s worth it. We would have been better off going to a Subway or Jimmy Johns and got way more bang for our buck. I didnt think to take pictures of the sandwiches but I wish I had.

The Cow Saloon & Eatery is a fantastic spot to grab a bite and enjoy a drink! I tried the Chicken Pesto, and it was absolutely delicious, while the Prime Rib Dip was equally amazing—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your meal. On top of that, the service was excellent; our waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great experience. If you’re looking for great food, drinks, and a warm vibe, The Cow Saloon & Eatery is a must-visit!

Hello everyone it’s Food Guy checking out food here and there. I have a very mixed review for this restaurant. I’m sorry to say the stars will not be high. This restaurant is very deceiving from the busy road that runs in front. From first glance you read the name on the window and think ” hey that looks like a restaurant that would serve some steak’s” (NOT)
No steak’s no Burger’s definitely not what the sign says ” The Cow”…Yes there is a prime rib dinner for over 30.00 dollar’s or a dinner for 2 around 80.00 dollar’s. Now it’s not to say the sandwich that I got did not have good flavor, it was very tasty but not plentiful and definitely not worth the price for deli turkey on sourdough. Or a very small deli French dip. Subway has a bigger sandwich than that. I will say the service was very good and fast, but good service is just part of the equation. This place is a very overpriced neighborhood bar. So if your looking for a ok sandwich and a cocktail this place will do just fine. If you looking for a good dinner establishment then don’t go here.

Stopped in for a “business” lunch and had some great food and a nice little whiskey pour. The food was great and took a bunch of stuff home to the family, they all loved it and it was quickly devoured. Portions are good sized and will fill you up. The Cowboy Nachos are good and the Reuben & Keri are two of our favorite sandwiches.

They don’t have every whiskey in the world but what they do have it very good. They are continually expanding the selections and the brands & expressions are solid. They have some of the best pricing on pours around. You won’t be disappointed. This is a good spot for an afternoon lunch or come to downtown Greeley and hangout for the nightlife. The Cow is quickly becoming one of our favorite eateries.

“ Damn the food is good”, that’s what I just texted a couple of friends about my first experience at The Cow in downtown Greeley. Granted it was mid-afternoon but it seems they have a great following by customers. I started off with Cowboy Nachos but kept seeing all these beautiful sandwiches being served to customers. Nonetheless, I had to try one ….the French Dip, excellent. Now I can’t wait to comeback to enjoy the other sandwiches. Oh and I definitely want to try Prime Rib Night! My server Vicki was outstanding as she obviously is an asset to their great establishment. Definitely try this local saloon & eatery.
