Incredible customer service at this cute pasta spot in queen village. We made reservations and had dinner on a Friday night by. There were a decent amount of open tables so reservations may not have been necessary. Our cocktails were very good, high quality!! I got the olive one (too sweet but I don’t like vermouth) and fiance got the mezcal one (which was INCREDIBLE). Apps- Caesar salad was well done, real anchovy. Meatballs were small and to me kind of bland. Sauce was good though. I got the rigatoni. When it came out, the pasta was too chewy.. not even al dente, more than that, just felt undercooked. I told the waiter and the manager helped us. They were extremely kind and understanding!!! They immediately refired my meal, and the pasta was much better after that. Unfortunately the chicken was overcooked because of that but it was much better. Fiancé got the risotto which he loved. They gave us a free dessert!!! They were SO nice and still made my experience very enjoyable. The cannolis were fresh and delicious! Maybe a bit too much chocolate sauce. If I come back it would be for cocktails and desserts!!!

Incredible dining experience!! We arrived as the kitchen was closing and Rory gave us menus to review while she prepped a table for us. When she seated us she gave us the suggestions we asked for and grabbed our order so that we didn’t miss out on dinner. Amy came over a minute later to make sure our order was in and to take our drink order. She helped select wine that would pair with what we ordered, and her choice was phenomenal. The appetizer and salad came out so quickly and were delicious! The gluten free bucatini was the main course and both dishes were excellent and large portions. Even though we were pretty full we wanted to try the gf dessert options as well. Both Amy and Rory were so helpful in making sure I knew as a celiac diner I was in good hands. I’m looking forward to my leftovers as much as my next visit.

I have been here a few times with my family and the atmosphere never disappoints. It’s so cute and vibey. The service was a little bit slow but I think this place is more for the entire experience. It seems like it’s more wine and dine than eat and get out. The food was good and drinks were good and brought out promptly to the table.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and inviting—just the kind of setting that makes you instantly comfortable. The staff set the tone, especially our waiter, who was genuinely kind and offered thoughtful recommendations that shaped the night perfectly.

To start, we ordered the burrata with butternut squash, and I can confidently say it was the best burrata I’ve ever had—silky, rich, and perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the squash. The calamari was another highlight, crisp on the outside, tender inside, and full of flavor. Both starters were so good that my plates were left spotless.

For the main course, I went with the waiter’s recommendation: the rigatoni with pancetta. It was phenomenal—al dente pasta with a sauce that was rich and savory without being too heavy, complemented beautifully by the salty, smoky pancetta. Every bite was a perfect balance, and once again, I cleared the plate without leaving a trace.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, dessert arrived and was every bit as memorable—sweet, indulgent, and the ideal finale. By the end of the night, I was completely stuffed and deeply satisfied.

This wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience where every dish exceeded expectations. From start to finish, the restaurant delivered comfort, flavor, and hospitality that left me already planning my return.

This place was so cute! The food was damn amazing. The service and staff were fantastic.

Rory, greeted us so kindly. We immediately felt welcome, even though we entered pretty close to the kitchen closing!

Amy, our server was spot on with the recommendations! Every single thing was scrumptious!

We ordered gluten free items. The staff was knowledgeable about food restrictions and cross contamination. The pasta (bucatini gluten free) was shipped in from Italy. The texture and flavor was the best I’ve ever had. The cocktails… seriously every thing in this place was great.

I plan to come back. I plan to be a regular.

Thank you Cry Baby Pasta!

Janine was fantastic during our visit. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel comfortable right away. She knew the menu well and gave great recommendations that we ended up loving. Everything came out on time, and she checked in just enough to make sure we had what we needed. Her friendly attitude really made the meal more enjoyable. We’d be happy to have her as our server again.

This is my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia! Handmade pasta and desserts to die for and the absolute best staff. Highly recommend the cacio e pepe and the pesto! The wine list is top notch and I absolutely love the decor and ambience. Can’t wait to return

Great restaurant. Went for a second time on Valentine’s Day. The specials were to die for. Food awesome. Staff couldn’t be more warm and hospitable. Even gave the table some gratis food from the staff. I recommend to any seafood lovers. As well as anyone who likes Italian fair. Staff couldn’t be better. It will make my wife and I and friends return again and again.

Cry Baby has quickly become one of my favorite places to dine in for a special occasion. The atmosphere is fun and very thoughtful, with super cute and quirky decor and great music. The food is always stellar, as in pausing after every bite to really take it it, with great seasonal specials and drinks to die for.
But what really makes this place one of my favorites in the city is the incredible service. Not only is the staff knowledgeable and proud of the menu they serve, but they are kind, funny, and make you feel like you’re a part of the family. From the hosts, to the runners, to my most favorite server Jen (!!!), the staff gives their all to make each guest have a one of a kind experience. Philly has a great food scene, but Cry Baby will always win when it’s time for an anniversary, birthday, or just freaking because I deserve a nice dinner. Much appreciation for everyone who plays a part in this awesome space!
