Reviews
The service was good and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The only small thing was that the food took a little longer to arrive than I expected. However, once it came, it was definitely worth the wait so no real complaints there.
The restaurant also has great vibes. The atmosphere felt warm and inviting, making it a really pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal.
Overall: delicious food, great ambiance, good service just slightly faster serving time would make it perfect. I’d definitely visit again!
We visited this restaurant and ordered Kadahi Paneer and Palak Paneer. The food quality was very poor. The Kadahi Paneer tasted like a plain, random curry with no proper flavor. While eating it, we suddenly found a chicken piece in the dish, which is completely unacceptable, especially for vegetarians.
We informed the waiter immediately. He looked surprised but did not apologize. He simply took the dish away and brought it back shortly after. It honestly felt like the same curry was reheated instead of being freshly replaced. He offered us some extra naan for free, but that also did not taste good.
Because of this experience, we were not able to finish the food. When the waiter asked if we wanted the remaining food packed, we clearly said no, as we did not want to eat it anymore. After that, he took the plates away and we waited for the bill. We were left sitting there for about 10 minutes with no one coming to us. It felt like we were being ignored or expected to leave without any proper closure.
Eventually, we went to the counter ourselves and paid the full amount. Throughout the entire experience, not a single staff member apologized or showed any concern.
As vegetarians, this was very upsetting. Mixing meat into a vegetarian dish is a serious issue and shows a lack of care and hygiene in the kitchen. The food, service, and staff behavior were all very poor.
I strongly do not recommend this place to vegetarians or vegans. We left very disappointed and will not be returning.
The dal makhni is a standout — creamy, perfectly spiced, and full of that slow-cooked depth that’s hard to find outside India. Other dishes are also well-prepared and nicely presented, with fragrant rice complementing the meal.
Overall, Taj Mahal is a great choice if you’re craving real Indian food in Munich — authentic, satisfying, and full of flavor.
We visited this restaurant and ordered Kadahi Paneer and Palak Paneer. The food quality was extremely poor. The Kadahi Paneer had no real flavor and tasted like a bland, generic curry. While eating, we were shocked to find a piece of Chicken in the dish, which is completely unacceptable, especially for vegetarians.
We immediately informed the waiter. He appeared surprised but did not apologize. He took the dish away and returned shortly after, but it honestly seemed like the same curry had just been reheated rather than replaced. He offered complimentary naan, but that also did not taste good.
Because of this, we could not continue eating. When asked if we wanted the remaining food packed, we clearly declined. After that, the plates were taken away and we waited for the bill. We were left sitting for about 15 minutes with no one acknowledging us, which felt uncomfortable and careless.
In the end, we had to go to the counter ourselves and pay the full amount. Throughout the entire visit, no one apologized or showed any concern for what had happened.
For vegetarians, this was extremely upsetting. Finding meat in a vegetarian dish is a serious issue and reflects very poor kitchen practices. The food quality, service, and staff response were all disappointing.
I would strongly advise vegetarians and vegans to avoid this place. We left feeling frustrated and will not be returning.

No apology from staff at any point. Very poor food, service, and hygiene. Not recommended for vegetarians or vegans.
Update: They delivered at 22:30 the food I ordered at 18:36
