Visited the avenue location for TTRW. Despite how full the place was it did not feel cramped or too noisy. I had reservations for inside dining but had to dine outside which was fine. Ambience and decor is not much to talk about. Our server was very friendly and personable. I ordered sushi as both entrée and main and it tasted good.

Honestly the atmosphere in the restaurant was just really off, after all the hype I expected a bit more of a higher end atmosphere, however it felt closer to a café that ypu would go to have brunch in. It was underwhelming not due to their fault, but because of the hype around it, the sushi was also lower quality that I expected.

Went for TTWR.
Service was a bit slow but the place was packed and it was a Friday evening…
Was not terribly slow though, took about an hr from start to finish, which was what we expected.

After hearing all the hype, I was excited to experience this restaurant. Upon entering, the ambiance was vineyard-like with an outdoor seating area. Once inside, more seating was available and evenly spaced. It was my first experience trying Sushi so I was skeptical and proceeded to ask the Server about Sushi… If it was indeed raw fish and instead of answering directly, he came across a bit snobby and that was uncalled for. I’m here to tell you that the Sushi is not RAW but rather SMOKED. The offerings from their TTRW Sushi Menu were delightful, however I did not like the Seaweed Salad. The Salmon was bland. The appetizers chosen were simply ok and the desserts were nothing special, Creme brulee was not torched. Wouldn’t be returning for a long time.

I’m rarely in Port of Spain, but had cravings for sushi. The food was amazingly delicious! The restaurant was clean, crisp and inviting. The staff were absolutely the best! Big portions, deviously delicious and good price point. I’ll definitely return. Car park too, so no worries about getting towed.

It was perfect. The sushi rolls was great size, you can distinguish the difference in each rolls taste. The appetizers was plentiful. The drinks isn’t all that, it’s weak and most of them are sour but overall great ambiance, lovely service. A bit pricey but otherwise great experience

We got lost looking for a restaurant and this pop in our view. This was my first time and my children second. It’s a very quaint place. It looks big from the outside but beautiful when you walk in. The garden seating is just as beautiful, it gives you that zen style feeling. The service was great and food as well. We had the sushi and desserts it was truly yummy. They have a great tea selection as well. Happy food exploring.

I only come here for the Japanese spring Festival which I enjoy partaking in the experience!
-Note that I do not eat seafood*
I often find myself disappointed in the food especially in the limited non-seafood options.

The last 2 times I went to the event I had 2 variations of chicken ramen.
Last year I had a tonkatsu(?) Ramen which was very mild in flavour and even tasted a bit fresh as if the meat wasn’t seasoned.

My friend however had the crispy chicken sushi and she gave me one and it tasted good.
So deciding I’ll come to the festival this year and get that option, I was disappointed to see that it was removed, and there were only *2* non sea food options: vege spring rolls and teriyaki ramen sushi.

The spring rolls were tiny for the price of $58 dollars for 6, and the teriyaki ramen which was supposed to be spicy was very mild.
Maybe this is just how it is in Japan, but I hope it’s a bit more flavourful there.

As the seating inside was full, we were forced to sit outside, which was hot. as. hell! It was so hot, my brother got a tan, and my 2 friends who got sushi, their container melted!

The staff were a bit dismissive of me as I did ask if I could order the crispy chicken sushi and they said I had to wait till 3, in an hour, when the festival was over to be able to get items that weren’t on the festival menu.
Then when I waited and asked them again at 3 o’clock they said I had to wait till 3:20. I said ok and came back 20 minutes later and they said to wait a bit more. When I came back around 10 minutes later they just flat out ignored me even when I was saying “excuse me” many times. Even the lady who did the Japanese tea ceremony was left standing and nobody came to her so she left. There were aound 3 workers and one of them even steupsed and went on wiping a counter!
I decided to leave, but if they could’ve just said at around 3 that it would be a while and they might be ready at around 4 that would’ve been easier as I would’ve just left and not sat waiting.
I understand being tired after working especially for the busy festival but the response could’ve been better.

It’s easy to say that next year, if they don’t have the chicken sushi, I’ll go and only get the virgin Pina colada as my order- the only good item over had in Mor Vino

The customer service here is brilliant. The waiting staff are attentive and constantly checking on you, clearing tables, offering water etc. I attended their buffet, it starts exactly at 6pm and yes you need to make a reservation for it so they can cater accordingly. The food was exceptional. Every single food I ate was excellent in flavour and texture. Drinks outside of water aren’t included in the buffet price, please be aware of that .

Nice place and the food presentation was really good. The Salmon Sampler was really good and recommended for Salmon lovers. I liked the Poke lettuce wrap. The other two rolls (Red Wine Roll & Inferno Roll) were disappointing. I am not sure because it was a Thursday or what but the service was not that good. Nobody to seat you. The seats were wet and the servers did not check them or wipe them down. The person who brought me here who use to go to this place a lot was very disappointed with this visit. I will say this may be a one off and not the norm and possibly try it again.
