We typically go to the LG in R’dale and it is always great. The one in GS was just ok. The kid working the counter probably wanted to be anywhere but there. The twist I got had already hardened (I know it wasn’t from a previous day but it was not very fresh) and tasted like “refrigerator”. One of the Bavarian had no cream inside….. Or doughnut for that matter; it was a blown up shell of dough. The colaches were fine. Forty dollars later I wish I would have gone to City Donuts today.

I got a Boudin Croissants, Cinnamon Twist Roll, Vanilla Cappuccino and a Sausage egg and cheese Croissant. Everything is so good and they have great customer service. They had only one young lady working there and it was 10 people there at one time, she got us out less than 10 min. She was on it, ringing up people, packing food, warming up food and making drinks!!

Mmmm, donuts.
Okay, I’ll admit it — I actually don’t like donuts that much! But the fam sure does, and so I found this spot so we could get our donut fix the first morning of our getaway.
It was a torrential downpour when we arrived Friday morning, but there was parking near the entrance so we ducked right in.
It’s a simple little shop with limited seating and service, but the donut case looked relatively full even at around 10 when we got there. Of course the main feature here is donuts, but they also have kolaches and some basic breakfast sandwiches.
I came with my sister-in-law and her husband as well as my husband. I don’t remember what SIL got, but BIL and hubs both got a chocolate glazed donut while hubs got a breakfast sandwich and BIL got a kolache. They said they enjoyed their food.
Like I said, not a huge donut fan, but I like cake donuts pretty well so I got a chocolate glazed cake donut and a blueberry cake donut. The chocolate glazed donut cake part was kind of dry, though the icing was yummy and helped. The blueberry, on the other hand, was quite delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Again, not a donut connoisseur, but I think this spot seems like a solid option for some simple but tasty breakfast treats.

Great donuts and a great price! My local donut shop charges $16 a dozen for a variety. This place was only around 10 bucks a dozen! They have breakfast sandwiches too. Mmmmmm…. you can’t go wrong with donuts. There was a line already out the door when we got there at 8 am on a Saturday… that’s saying something. The line went fast!

Love, Love, Love these guys I imagine they might be a family. I really don’t know but it makes me happy to think it is! Reminds me of my step fathers Bakery , the smell.
