Waitress will not talk to you unless you are a male, had to ask for a food menu only for our pizza to come out horrendously burnt. i am not from morgantown so i was honestly super dissapointed in the quality of the food. cocktails were good thats about the only thing they got going for them

Our server was great. However, that was the only great thing about this experience other than the people we spent the time with. We waited around 2 hours for our pizza, it came out charred on the exterior but raw on the interior. Initially we were told they had ran out of salad but they must have gone and picked some up because that was no longer a problem and we all received salad. The ranch tasted a bit soured or could be hidden valley. They did run out of cheesecake. I asked for a strawberry marg and it 1. Was made with grenadine and 2. I’m guessing there was either sprite or club soda in it because it was a bit fizzy. I switched to a Pinot noir and the bartender poured Pinot Grigio instead. Each time our server corrected mistakes efficiently and effectively and ultimately is the only reason I’m not giving this place 1 star. It seems that Bar Rescue needs to make a visit to Morgantown Escobar asap

I have come in previously for “girl dinner” and quite literally had the worst experience- food took forever, ran out of martini glasses despite it not being busy (?) and pizza being cold and/or raw after having to wait an hour. Decided to give some grace because it was new. Came in again last night for drinks for a friends birthday, quite literally got ignored from all the bartenders, waited FORTY FIVE minutes to even get asked what I wanted and received my drink not even half full, not to mention they were terribly made, both times. I do not typically leave reviews but I have never seen service so bad. Love the idea and environment but absolutely will not be coming back.

Escobars was an absolute blast! This interior is so classy, we felt it from the moment we walked in. The drinks were top-notch, with creative and classic choices. I couldn’t get enough of their martinis.
We ordered a few apps and pizzas. Every bite was absolutely delicious. The crab dip was the star for me, but all the pizzas were great. If I had one critique I would say some of the dishes could use more salt and seasoning.
The real star of the show was the service. Every staff member was pleasant, helpful, and chatty. We were so impressed by their attentiveness and enthusiasm. The staff made us feel like VIPs. We can’t wait to go back for another round of great food and drinks.

drinks are extremely overpriced and also me and my friend waited over 20 minutes at the bar, where the bartenders walked by us SEVERAL times and didn’t acknowledge us. we didn’t get served and ended up leaving. extremely poor service. bartenders were not even paying attention to people at the end of the bar. the two drinks we did manage to get (after waiting 30 minutes) weren’t full and were watered down.

I have only had drinks and pizza at the bar, so can’t comment on other entrees. The pizza is amazing and can taste how it was prepared in the wood fire stone oven.
I have gone different nights for drinks and it does depends on what bartender you have. But they do make some good martinis. The bartender they have for Fridays and Saturdays is amazing. He knows his stuff and I can see him being a great mixologist in his future. (UPDATE: The bartender has now left, not sure who replaced him)

has gone downhill. Ordered a negroni and it was straight vermouth. Asked for an aguardiente sour and it was all lemon juice. No egg white. Posted a picture of the drink menu because the ingredients in the negroni are exactly the same as the ingredients in the sazerac. The exact same ingredients but different drinks and one costs more got the crab fondue and it cane put cold with the candle not lit. I asked the bartender to relight it… she told me they dont have a lighter. I ordered the pepperoni pizza, it cane out with 2 pieces of pepperoni. Ordered another pizza and it never came. The pizza did infect taste like dish soap. Staff were very rude and not helpful at all. Bathroom had no toilet paper. Restaurant was freezing cold. Absolutely will never return. The staff was inattentive as well. The manager was so super rude and had a chip on her shoulder. Reminded me of a college bar vibes. The bartender are all under the age of 21. They do not measure out any cocktails and just do pour counts

This place was absolutely terrible. We sat at the bar at 7:30. Did not get approached for 30 minutes. Rush ordered because we knew we wouldn’t see the bartender again. And thank god we did that because by 9:30 we still did not have our food. Ended up canceling it because we were told it was going to take another 45 minutes. And still only had one drink because the bartenders never came back and checked on the lower half of the bar. Saw several parties walk out because of it. Worst experience ever. Ruined date night.

Atmosphere appears on the higher end vibe within a college partying town. Earlier in the night it was quieter but as the party clubs filled up the college students trickled in. Cocktails are relatively decently priced and the spirits are middle shelf with some higher end bottles like Johnny Walker blue, nothing rare or unique. Great place to grab late snacks but not too late.
