Took a chance on taco mama and first and last visit.now going into it we didn’t know that it is walk up order and serve yourself.luckily it wasn’t busy but if it is or was you stand in line and order and I could see that being an issue.me personally I do not eat a lot of Mexican food but others with me do so I have to take time.but that went pretty smooth.and I’ll say it again service doesn’t really bother me as long as food is good.all I’m going to say about the food is it wasn’t that good especially for the price.and for the price unlike other Mexican restaurants you do not get much for the price.to me it’s like a bar and bar food.as said we tried but will not be back.but I will say the young folks working when we interacted they were nice.

First time eating here and I loved how fresh everything tasted. I got tacos with chips & salsa, and their street corn. (My mom got the burrito bowl) It was all wonderful. Portions are great for the price. There are so many options to choose from that it truly is what you make it and they have something for everyone. I look forward to going multiple times in the future to try various things, which is not something I usually do because I often find one thing and stick with it.

Today was the first time my husband and I had been to Taco Mama in Florence. It will for sure not be the last! We walked in and were greeted by Twana Summerhill with a big smile. Her attitude was bubbly and energetic as we discussed the different options they have there.. She gave us recommendations when we asked and even came over to the table to check on us later. We got the nachos with chicken and steak like she suggested and it was wonderful! You were able to add as many toppings as you wanted. ALL the food was so fresh and delicious! This place is a true jewel and I don’t think you will be disappointed if you give it a try.

First and last time here. Total waste of $50.
I’ve heard people talk about Taco Mama, so I finally decided to try it out, but I’m honestly shocked at how bad the quality was for the price.
I ordered the Fat Boy Burrito, and it was a soggy, wet mess. The worst part was the steak it wasn’t even sliced or chopped. It felt like they just stuffed whole slabs of steak in there, which made it impossible to eat.
To top it off, my drink tasted like flavored water. There was absolutely no flavor to them and clearly very little alcohol. I was expecting a premium meal for a $50 tab, but what I got was flavorless drinks and a poorly prepped burrito. Definitely won’t be coming back.

Favorite food in the shoals. Always fresh & real food. I get the single taco and it comes with chips and salsa— under 6 bucks i think!!! And free toppings. And free refills. And friendly staff. Say less.

You order at the counter and they’ll bring your order to the table you choose.
They have delicious beverages. My favorite is the LA Playa.
I’ve tried lots of stuff off the menu and I’ve never been disappointed..
They are consistent and the food is fresh and delicious every time!
My go to is either a steak quesidilla or a Burrito Bowl, but I also love the fried flounder tacos and grilled shrimp tacos.
You can adjust whatever dish you choose to your liking. There are several delicious add ons.
Try it you won’t regret it!

I am in town visiting in Florence AL & I wanted a really good quesadilla. My co workers who live here said Taco Mama was a really great place to have some Mexican so I decided to stop by. I was impressed with the margarita flavors they offered and they also had a unique margarita called the Prosecco fizz that was really refreshing. I had a shrimp quesadillas & I also had a blood orange margarita. It was refreshing not too sweet or tart but just the right amount of flavor. The shrimp quesadillas was absolutely huge. It had the perfect amount of shrimp/cheese ratio. My friend had barbacoa tacos and she said the meat was tender and flavorful. I also loved the fact that they had different varieties of Hot sauces including my favorite Cholula. Definitely would go back and have a few margarita on my off day. 10/10
