I stopped by the Bluestone Lane Rittenhouse Cafe recently, and I was really impressed by the warm and welcoming staff. It’s the kind of place where they genuinely care about their customers—on my second visit, the barista actually remembered my name, which was such a nice personal touch that made the experience feel special.

The food hit the spot perfectly. I ordered the chili egg sandwich, which was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of kick. I also got a bowl of fresh berries on the side, which was the perfect refreshing complement to the meal. If you’re looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot in the neighborhood with friendly service and tasty food, this is definitely the place to check out.

I wanted to love this place, but it felt overpriced for what it was. The food didn’t look that great either—kind of plain. Smoked salmon toast: fine, but basic. Thin salmon on soft bread with a little herb sprinkle—needed better bread and more punch (lemon, capers, something). The mocha coffee looked promising but a bit disappointing. Overall, just not special, especially at these prices. I had higher hopes. I’ll probably give it another try and order differently.

I primarily think of Bluestone Lane as a coffee shop (and they have GREAT coffee – I especially love the “Aussie iced latte” (which replaces milk with a scoop of ice cream)), but I recently got brunch here and it was so good! Their avocado toast and lemon ricotta pancakes are superb, and I got this special seasonal waffle dish and I wish I could get it all year round 🙂

Great food, lots of sandwich options. They also have a lot of protein smoothies and drinks. Only issue I have is that prices are a bit high. My sandwich was $16.95.

The service, the croissant, and the atmosphere were all a 10. My double espresso was just perfect. Most of all the gentlemen and young lady working there were extremely nice and welcoming. Thank you for a great breakfast and experience. I highly recommend this establishment.

A nice little spot to have breakfast while staying at the Warwick Hotel by Rittenhouse Square! A bit of an Australian theme, my daughter’s Hot Chocolate (with mint) came with a Tim Tam cookie!
We ordered the avocado toast dish, which was served on a nicely decorated plate. The feta and tomatoes went nicely with this dish.
I had a simple black coffee, but was served with a charming little jug, in case I wanted more! We both really enjoyed the cute dish ware and decor of this cafe.
We would have wished it to be a tad warmer in there. As it was December and quite cold outside, perhaps a little heat would have made this experience perfect!

This place has been my favorite coffee/breakfast spot in Philly for the last 2 years. They are constantly adding new menu items to keep the food and drinks exciting, but the classics are always great too. Try the BL burrito—you will not regret it. The staff is always incredibly helpful and friendly and they are always quick to greet me whether I am dining in or just grabbing a quick cup for the road. If you haven’t stopped in yet, you must try!!!

This location left à lot to be desired. We werent greeted upon entry, the table we sat at was sticky and the waitress never return when asked to have it wiped down so we scooted over to another table.

Beverages tasted blah. Temp was warm, and didn’t have a good milk-espresso or matcha or Chai ratio.

Will try other locations and hope they do better.
